TW: domestic abuse & substance abuse
I’m not sure if there are diehard crown the empire fans or anything on tumblr or even just former fans that are still in the music fan, but we need to talk about Crown the Empire because I’m tired of the community being silent about this. This is Heidi, she’s a recent ex-girlfriend of Brandon Hoover (CTE guitarist). She has been recently coming to terms with and speaking up about the abuse she has dealt with within the past year. On top of that, he cheated on her yet had the GALL to throw her at a table and call her a cheating slut?? Also, here’s a list of just a few people aware of the abuse that I know of:
All current members of Crown The Empire (Jeeves I’m unsure of)
Caity Babs, wife of crown bassist Hayden Tree
Former drummer of CTE Brent Taddie (left the band because of the abuse too)
Telle Smith of The Word Alive
Potentially more??
And some of the tea goes deeper than that. Some of which I don’t even know but it is not my business unless Heidi were to disclose it to me in direct messages. I contacted Heidi to check on her and she’s still slowly recovering, but every single thing she has told my friend and I has lined up with how they are. They’re not innocent, precious people; they’re rockstars with a domestic/substance abuse issue. AND DAVE LITERALLY HINTS AT THEIR ISSUES WITH SUBSTANCE ABUSE IN HIS GOODBYE MESSAGE YET WE REALLY SAID “I do not see”.
