I am a thief, a drug addict, liar. I am also a human being sacrificing it all to become a better man. I can love and accept love into my heart. 29 years and I wouldn’t wish my life on my worst enemy. I’m learning to accept I am unhealthy and need to reprogram my behavior in order to align my actions with my soul. It’s a ride and the story is traumatic. I have laughed and cried while ending and beginning chapters in my autobiography. I would enjoy the company but passengers beware. This life isn’t for the faint of heart.

With the holidays around the corner, I wanted to write you guys a little something special… I know the holiday season can be a tough time for anyone working through any kind of mental health issues and I just want all of you to know that you can get through this! There is nothing more important than self care and I hope each and every one of you carve out the time each and every day just for yourself. It can be as simple as going to get your nails done to buying yourself a little present :) You deserve it and so much more!

Hey, listen to me,

don’t you give up. I know you feel hopeless right now, I know you feel like it’s never gonna get any better. It will, It definitely will. It may not be today or tomorrow or next week, but eventually everything is going to be better. I’m not saying you’ll be cured but you’re going to improve. You’ve got to keep on working towards this, though. And if you can’t do it on your own, that’s perfectly okay. It’s fine to ask for help, it’s courageous, actually. Just don’t give up yet, please. At all. You mean so much to so many people in this world, even if you don’t know it. I hope you’ll know it eventually.

It may be hard to see it but I care. I lied and relapse and filled my soul with drugs. They fueled my heart into a monster. I never wanted you to see that part of me. The active drug user. The liar. The thief. The villain. The bad guy. You saw him. His evil and cruel. He wants me to suffer. I let him win. I’m sorry. You deserved better and I couldn’t defeat this evil. I loved you. I cared about you and I still do. Now, you chose another path. A different future. Now I have to take care of myself without you. I hope you understand this wasn’t my plan. Drugs are bad. I wish I could hold you and make you smile but that isn’t my job anymore. I wish you the best. I love you and will always be here to laugh and joke with. If you think I don’t care. You are wrong. So fucking wrong.
