Nick had always been strange and nothing anyone could do would change him.  Luckily his family owned a factory and he was happy to work the night shift as a security guard.  He sleeps during the day, so he doesn’t have to interact with the other workers.  He wakes up, as seen here,  as the sun is ready to go down and spends the night wandering the grounds - dressed as he always is in his hip boots and rubber pouch.  Most who try to enter the grounds are scared off when they see him.  A few other guys keep showing up to be “dealt with” by him.
