Catching up with my #toontober! I did not get all four days but thats okay Im proud of what I did get down. 

The prompts were “Bug” “Sea Creature” and “Mythological Creature” So I doodled some of my own toons Toulouse, Skippy, and Hilda respectively!

For those curious about these guys. Toulouse is a Mosquito who runs his bar on the seedy side of town. He is a fast talker and a con man to an extent. He likes slipping into the higher end of town and working his magic on the upper class, particularly a royal betty bee.

Skippy is a mysterious creature and no one quite knows what he is. What he knows is he is adventurous and super speedy swimmer. He dreams to one day traverse the whole ocean but for now he works as a lifeguard at the beach.

Hilda the Herald follows that old school unicorn rep of wanting to beat the sense out of everything and everyone (that isnt a pretty girl) She doesn’t like the fact her acclaimed rival, Huey the Herald, gets a more fearsome rep for just being a dragon. She often takes out her frustration in illegal boxing rings where she is the reigning champ

#Toontober Day 1: Out of the Inkwell

Im rusty with my inks but Im sure doing daily prompts will help. Starting this Toontober with Huey the Heraldic Dragon.

Gonna use Toontober to draw all of my toon babs!

Hey everyone! Do you love October and Inking and OLD CARTOONS?! Then consider trying the TOONTOBER prompt list! 

@toonboops wanted to do an October Prompt list and since its Inktober we both thought doing old toons would fit with Inktober and Spooky Times! 

This is a part of Inktober however you can just follow the prompt list however you like as well. The main goal here is to embody the toons of the 1920s-1930s. All the prompts are taken from themes and subjects that are common in old cartoons. You can use your own characters, create new character or use existing characters! DO WHATEVER YOU WANT THIS IS JUST MEANT TO BE FUN! 

Also main thing is dont sweat keeping up with the list, this is meant to be fun, just follow it as you like or use it for asks too!

Heya! Here are the results of the stream! Some Cuphead OC’s I’ve had on the brain and Im trying to design. We’ve got Skippy who has the head of a skipper boat mixed with the body of a fish with a propeller tail!  Then there is a Viking ship who doesnt have a name just yet but is always ready to fight. Next we have a mirror boss I was designing. I have a few ideas for this guy as a boss. They were inspired by the cartoon “Thru the Mirror” which is an old mickey mouse short from the 1930s. Basically the Mirror would swallow the cuphead boys and send them to a parallel world where all the objects in the room are alive and come to attack cuphead and mugman. I imagine their final form as a giant wall mirror that takes up the whole room. Then theres my lil self insert, lil cuphead sona. A dragon inspired by the dweegs in heraldry. Not sure about their name just yet was thinking maybe Harold the Herald just be be basic but still working on it! Thanks to everyone who joined my stream.

Collection of drawings I’ve done of my lil self-insert cuphead OC Huey the Herald. They’re a lil heraldic dragon who delivers messages vocally, musically, or via parchment!

Oswald.

Oswald is one of my favorite Disney characters. Something about his design, personality, and history just always made me enamored with him. 

 I was trying to recapture some drawings I made when I was back at Disneyland. I unfortunately gave those drawings to a guest but I think I’ll find a way to draw him again.

Some really rough concepts for Maestro Peanut’s final form. I may have taken the phantom of the opera thing a little literally but honestly I think it fits. It at least gave me a great idea to make the rows of pipes into something of a cape. There was a bit of a 2nd form making its way onto the page. In the first image theres some doodles of Peanut with some pipes coming out of him. I was trying to form them into a bit of a cape with a collar which would eventually evolve into the final form.  These are not final I still gotta tweak some things, mainly I want to see if I should keep his final form mask or if I should omit it. I like the theatrical feel to it but also need to find a color that works for it. The hat and cravat need some work too.  BUT IM HAPPY WITH THIS CONCEPT AND THAT I FINALLY HAVE A SOLID IDEA FOR THIS YIPEE!

First part of this silly mafia toon AU. The Deadly Duet. These two are well known for the sweet songs they sing a local popular club but they know how to bring the house down in more than one way. They are also the demolition crew for Carter’s Gang. Neither of them are subtle so they’re only sent in when Carter wants the fat lady to sing for some poor establishment. If they show up then its curtains.

Second addition to our toon mafia. Walter aka “The Reaper”  Walter is Carter’s clean up guy and boy is he busy all the time. Seems like the poor guy can never get a break. Ever other moment hes gettin a call about another joint that needs cleaning up after Carter’s goons go through there. But he is the best in the biz for this line of work. He would really appreciate a vacation though.

The “Bullies” 

Loki the Kid and Beau the Bullshark are the collectors for Carter’s Gang. If you owe a debt you can bet Loki and Beau will be there to come and pick up what you owe and interest. Dont let appearances fool you. Despite Loki’s small childish looks hes the more dangerous of the pair. Beau is just some shy muscle who didnt really mean to get involved with this gang. 

Loki is also Lucie’s younger brother. One more installment.

Last installment of Mafia AU

Cart the Big Boss Devil himself and his right hand, Magdalena.

Carter runs the business of hired help. You need someone to help you do a dirty deed he knows the toon who can do it for you. When hes not lending his goons to third parties hes busy suckering some sap into a contract to increase his workforce. Got a great sense of humor for the line of business hes in. Magdalena wasn’t always in the crime business. In fact she used to put these gangsters in cells. However due to strenuous circumstances shes now the right hand woman of the big boss himself and boy did she take to this job like a fish to water. Her cool demeanor is as unnerving as Carter’s enthusiasm. Shes mainly responsible for making things are running smoothly, any wrench in the girls is swiftly and cruelly dispatched.

This was a silly warmup that went on much longer than it should have. Just playing around with techniques and decided to draw Huey the Herald. Also added their Red Letter Gang Alternative colors and suit minus their hat.
