"Retro City" - Adventure Club
i picture myself speeding through a city filled with lights, at night with all the stars out. it makes me feel relaxed, while bringing back fun memories. the part from 2:30 to the buildup of the drop is my favorite part.

the beginning of this song is beautiful; the piano and melody truly make the song. it makes me think about myself and the mistakes i have made, especially knowingly. "i was wrong to say that i would not change a thing.." it makes me feel guilty, but at the same time, gives me hope that i can be in control.

this song transports me into a world where i am literally the only person in the world, going about doing things i would do, taking in every experience to the fullest. it makes me feel relaxed, similar to how i feel when i am in my room painting alone. on the swings watching the sun go down alone. working out at the park near my house alone. just me and my thoughts. at the same time, i dont feel loneliness. rather, i feel a sense of comfort and peaceful serenity.

this song is one of my favorites by Blackmill. most people are only familiar with the genres dubstep and house, but in EDM-electronic dance music, there are several sub-genres, such as glitch-hop, trance, drum and base. Blackmill's music is part of a genre called melodic dubstep, which is still electronic, but much more calm and relaxing, often referred to as "chillstep."
this song in particular makes me think about several questions. first, lets define the title. "lucid" means well lit, clear, understood. "truth" means what is real, fact, or simply what is. listen to the song and think about what you think the lucid truth of life is. "Lucid Truth" <-- click!

truth is the birds, their flight, the colorful aura in the sky. single drops of rain, that think of no gain. the color blue blends into green, leaving behind a rainbow sheen. it darkens and stars light up the sky, once again, birds pass by. the moon starts to hide, once a month, it is naked to the eye. revealing that nothing can hide. everything is lucid, to someone, to no one. it is what it is. listen close, youll hear the beat, of hearts you cant see, you can feel them, so let it be. listen, and let it be.
