Me: seeing a gif of youngwoo and junho's kiss scene for the 39493585 time
also me: giggling as if it's the first time I'm seeing this and rebloging for the 39493585 as well
Now little Miss Zendaya Coleman!! What are you doing!!
It's finally out!!!
Morally it wouldn’t be wrong to kill pharmaceutical company executives
Remember how Jonas Salk forfeited a potential profit of $7B by refusing to patent the polio vaccine he invented, instead making sure it would remain affordable to everyone and save hundreds of thousands of lives in the U.S. and all over the world?
(And Sabin who came up with a polio vaccine that both prevented polio and prevented transmission of polio also refused to patent)
No, you don’t, because Americans SUCK at remembering moments in history that are about positive outcomes for regular people.
(Salk’s last major research project was trying to develop an AIDS vaccine or medication. Think of how many lives could have been saved if a successful antiretroviral drugs regiment had cost, say, $50 a month for a 30-day supply instead of the ~$1,300/mo for PrEP)
I'm so glad that HIV/Aids treatment (ARV's) are easily accessible in South Africa
Miss rona really switched things up, we love a good character development 😌
I’m just trying to go look at rocks in the wild... my friends... I miss the outcrops and the measuring and the being precariously standing on a steep slope of shale and being in the middle of no where and learning with other people.
It makes so happy that I'm going back to the field in September and November
Oh to be in love.......
I guess we'll wait for now

DC protests have continued for 2 months nonstop against police violence and for Black Lives. Despite having a population greater than Vermont or Wyoming, DC’s statehood remains controversial among Republicans who can’t keep control of the government without multiple forms of voter suppresion.
In hopes of inspiring younger generations, NASA created this series of gorgeous retro travel posters that encourage you to imagine a future where common space travel is a legitimate possibility. Source

Unarmed Black Man With Hands Up Shot By Police.
Charles Kinsey, 47, a behavior therapist from South Florida was shot in the leg three times by the police in North Miami while laying on the ground with his arms up and trying to help his patient with autism who had run away from a group home.
It all started when someone called 911 and said there was a man walking around with a gun. However it was Kinsey’s patient who was sitting on the ground cross-legged, playing with a toy truck.
Charles got shot by police despite telling them he was only trying to help his patient.
The police shot him, handcuffed him and left him on ground bleeding.
North Miami police have not released much information at all. They haven’t released the officer’s name, they haven’t given us an update on the investigation. However, they did say that the state attorney is now a part of this investigation.

Oh to just wear one of these while going down the stairs with people watching
I've always been happy with being alone and even growing old alone. Not because I'm scared of falling in love or scared of getting my heart broken but because I always felt I didn't deserve to be in love.
Why I should find the one? Why should I be happily in love with someone? Why should I grow old with that person?
2020 may be the worst year to want to meet someone new to be in a relationship with but I honestly want to fall in love this year.
I want a love that is sweet, powerful and genuine. A love that is transparent and honest. Is that too much to ask for
Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot that people that don't support BLM don't care about black people. I mistakingly tried to humanize black people to get people to realize that you shouldn't trust police.
So let me tell some stories that all the racists out there will relate to. Upper-middle class white people!
So I was at the chiropractor, and this white dude sits down next to me while they're doing the electro-muscular stimulation. They nurses hook the electrodes to his arm, and he has a gnarly ace on his arm that still looks pretty fresh, usually I've only seen them do it in the back. I find that weird, and we're gonna be here for a while so I ask what's up.
So this guy works for his father, and his father owns an AC repair company. They have a job to fix an AC on this trailer. It's hot AF here, so they decide to do it memorial day so the daily doesn't have to go longer than necessary without AC. So he's under the trailer fixing the AC, and his dad is at the truck getting tools.
Meanwhile, a black guy robbed a nearby gas station, and police are looking for him. They've got search dogs. Police sees this guy under the trailer. The cop claims that he gave the guy a warning, but the guy didn't hear a warning, the neighbors didn't hear a warning, the father didn't hear a warning. No one heard a warning.
He feels pain in his arms, looks down, sees that the dog bit him. He grabbed the dog's snout and holds it closed, not knowing it's a police dog and not wanting to be bitten again.
The police tells him to let the dog go or he'll shoot the man. The man does a he's told. The dog bites him again. The father hears his son SCREAMING for obvious reasons and runs over. Sees his son covered in blood being attacked by a police dog.
The police realize it's the wrong guy and get the dog off (along with a chunk of this guy's arm). Then the police stand around and do buying as the father tries to use his belt to stop the bleeding.
He was in intensive care for days, they didn't think he'd survive, and if he did they definitely didn't think he'd keep the arm because the dog tore an artery. The guy made a full recovery, kept the arm, needed a lot of painful physical therapy. the whole time his main concern was what if it were kids? Not even concerned that he's an innocent victim of police brutality.
Here's the issues:
1) the suspect they were looking for was black. They were gonna use deadly force on a black man (don't tell me that's my deadly force. This guy almost died.)
2) they mistook a white man for a black man. They had no clue who they were telling their dog to attack.
3) the cop was never reprimanded. His chief thinks he made the right decision given the circumstances.
4) the police gave no warning.
5) the police didn't give a shit that this innocent man that they attacked was bleeding to death in front of his father.
All because this guy and his father wanted to work on a holiday to fix someone's AC because it was 100° F outside. He's got PTSD and a fear of dogs now. This guy was raised to always respect the police. How much do you think he respects them now?
There, white people. Now do use see the issue with police brutality now that it applies to someone like you? Just a white guy trying to do his job?
Police brutality isn't just a one race issue. If you let it slide when police kill black people, you set a precedent that allows them to kill anyone. White. Black. Male. Female. Young. Old. Anyone.
