I think I have been around long enough now to call myself a fandom old, and that Inuyasha is well established and well loved, and especially that we here often love our specific ships and don’t stray too far from them. But, if you want to see short stories and originals from me, I would really appreciate your follow either to my Tumblr (or even better, a visit to my website!) I blog and I write originals there.
But that also is not why I am writing this post right now. Nah, that is for a far more exciting reason.
Don’t ever believe someone who says that fandom friendships are fleeting. Because @ruddcatha and I met in 2020. Rudd was actually one of my very first friends in fandom and Inuyasha, and is the reason I wrote as much as I did while we were all locked down. We still talk every single day, and took the journey into writing originals together.
But we also realized that we adored gabbing about writing and fandom, and started to organize those chats enough to turn it into a podcast. Chapter summary: It's the first day at work after their date (that turned into three… or two depending on how you count it), and Kagome is worried that things will be awkward.
But when your dating is an office wide event, there is little chance of that.
Chapter summary: Inuyasha snarls at the intruder to his studio, ready to defend it from the thief, only to find out it's not someone there to rob it, but someone looking for... a job?

Chapter Summary: Kagome and Inuyasha are both enjoying their time with each other, and are reluctant to end the night with a kiss at the door… but what does that lead to?
I just wish things were a little easier. I changed jobs this year and it was supposed to have a higher salary and better benefits, but all I’m really getting is the better benefits. More than half my paycheck is taken out each time, leaving us with about 1000 less each month than I got at my last job. And with the increased cost of groceries and energy prices spiking, it is so hard to put food on the table and keep the lights on. I take care of my husband who is not able to work, so his bills are added on to my bills and honestly…
I don’t know how to keep it all up. We have $40 to get us through the next two weeks to payday, and I have no idea how we are going to get through December. As I feared, costs just keep going up and up and up, and a load of bread has gone from 1.99 to 4.99, eggs by me are around $5 a dozen, and forget it if you try and order anywhere. Even McDonalds has gotten so pricey.
I honestly don’t know how we will make ends meet next month, and too many people I know are in the same boat.
When is it supposed to get easier? When do you stop feeling like you are drowning trying to figure out how to pay everything?
