(2/2) In some ways, I do get the Grace hate. While her character was a bit more formed in season 1, SK wasted a lot of opportunity to flesh her out more. Why not bring her back for all of season 2? Probably because SK wanted Tommy with other woman. When she did come back, SK completely changed her character. Then he kills her off, but keeps her presence dangling throughout the rest of the show. I've never felt such hate for a writer and so defensive for a fictional character.

A part of me loves all her mentions, her ghost because it just solidifies that she is his person, and another part wishes it would have been put to rest because it is just torture. But I guess for people who liked Grace, we are meant to feel the torture that Tommy does since she died. I will never forgive SK for assassinating her character because we could have gotten such a power couple for a while.

Former massive T&G shipper from back in the day (I'm sure my tumblr posts from 2016 are still floating around), but I stopped watching after they killed Grace. Went down a rabbit hole recently and am re-obsessed. Full disclosure, I haven't watched really any of seasons 4-6, but people actually think Grace isn't Tommy's OTP? Absolutely no hate on Lizzie (SK did her dirty also), and I'm sure Tommy has love for her, but there is no comparison. It is crime we didn't get more of T&G married. (1/2)

Hello 👋🏻 I was introduced to the show when season 4 started. Watched the whole season with my bf not fully understanding what was happening but I was hooked. I started from S1 and finished the first 3 seasons in 2 days. I fell head over heals with them as a couple, even though i knew very well but she’d be gone but I couldn’t help it. I do believe that Tommy loved other women, but we all have love for many people. But the utterly heartbreaking, all consuming in love, he was only with Grace. I really hate that we didn’t get more of them, especially in S1 but also married. The way they changed her character was not great. She was a badass woman in a man’s world.
