"... You need to rest, René."
My muse is sick, and wonât admit it. Send âYou need to rest.â for their reaction. - @grybasileus
âI am fine.â That was his standard answer to many questions actually, especially those concerning his well being- No matter colds, fevers or anything of the like, if he could still stand up and think, then he was absolutely fine.
And no, bloodshot eyes didnât mean he was ill or anything of the sort.Â
The Balrogâs insistence sometimes - most of the time - could be a genuine bother. Luckily, Minos was acquainted with more than one way to soothe that kind of behavior when came from Lune.Â
He said nothing in response, and instead he walked around his room, finding liten RenĂ© quietly sleeping in his bed. With a few gentle strokes on his little head, the Judge woke the poor kitten up before cradling him in his arm. After petting him for a moment, letting him lick and bite lightly his pointer finger, he placed him gently atop of Luneâs chest.Â
âHe shall make you some company as well, and may remain watching you too, so I will know if you attempt to leave this room,â he said, bringing his hand to stroke gently Luneâs silver locks.
Minos leaned closer, pressing a rather gentle kiss onto his lips while being careful not to press against the little kitten that purred softly on top of the Balrogâs chest.Â
âNow, obey me and rest. I shall be back later tonight, so I can look after you.â
When Minos left the room, Lune already had half a mind of rolling off the bed and trying to get away as soon as he could, but it felt as if his body had started refusing to answer, so he laid there, unmoving and more frustrated than he couldâve imagined- That is until he felt a sudden weight on his chest and the all too familiar sound of sleepy meows.
The Balrog looked surprised for a moment, staring at the kitten first and at the Judge next, finding it hard (if not impossible) to suppress what dangerously looked like a pout. â...Now this, this is incredibly unfair.â Just as he said that, liten RenĂ© thought it nice to happily rub against his chest, purring as loudly as he could.
â...You know I wonât leave.â Luneâs shoulders dropped and he sighed, raising one hand to gently pet the cat before turning his head upwards to at least try to return the kiss. There was no real point anymore in trying to escape and not only because there was a purring furball on his chest, but also because just by laying down, he was starting to feel sleepy- And there was no way he could work like that.
Not to mention that irritating Minos wouldnât have made his day any better.
