“Okay, good choice! Jenga’s really simple so you shouldn’t have any trouble playing… if you have steady hands that is.” Setting the other game aside, he grabs the jenga box and holds it in front of Jeanne. With a grin on his face, the master opens the box from the bottom, pushing its contents against the other side of the box with his hand. He then kneels down, gently placing it down before removing the box to reveal a perfectly stacked set of jenga blocks.
“Ta-da!” Gudao goofily exclaimed with jazz hands. He liked some flare to his reveals. Even if it was just an organised pile of wood. “Okay, the rules are simple! We each take a turn grabbing a block from the stack. But it can’t be from the top! Whoever knocks the tower over, loses. I’ll go first to show you. Come, sit down next to me!” He pats the place next to him, inviting the saint to get comfortable.
“Watch closely!” The young man instructs as he gets in position to get a piece. Playing it safe, he goes for a block somewhere in the middle. He pushes it with his index finger… but just as he inserts it, a combined scream and roar from a certain moss-haired Greek hero, being chased around by the Amazoness CEO, made him jumpy and as a result…. he jolts backwards, knocking over the tower and as he falls back, his head lands on something cushy… Jeanne’s lap.
Pausing for a few moments, he blinks a few times as he looks up to the blonde girl’s lilac eyes. An embarrassed laughter escapes his lips. “…Looks like it’s your win… would you like a reward?” That response was all he could muster after such an embarrassing display of enthusiasm, and immediately losing on the first round. Really, this master was a clumsy one.
A NOD IS GIVEN, Jeanne stares at the box with a look of both interest and confusion. Something that would only require her to have steady hands ?? That should be---simple enough ( she hoped. ) “ If that is all that is needed then--I should probably be alright. ” She responds softly, hands neatly set in her lap as she waited for what Gudao would do next. She felt like she had steady enough hands, and if that was really all that was required then it might not be too bad, at the very least she was confident she wouldn’t lose from the very start.
She watches closely and carefully as he reveals the perfectly stacked set of blocks. Laughing softly as he adds a bit of flair to show them off to her--her master really was a strange one. ( But that was not a bad thing. ) “ Those seem like...simple enough rules. ” What a relief, she might even be able to win the game with it being simple as that. Jeanne gets up from her spot and moves over next to the space he was patting, not feeling a bit more confident about the game they were going to play.
Eyes go back to the stack of wood as she’s instructed to watch closely. He decided to go for a middle piece, pushing it--and that’s when a scream and roar can be heard causing him to jump, not only knocking down the tower but landing on her lap. Jeanne puts a hand on her chest, eyes growing wide as she looks at him laying on her ( and cheeks, without a doubt are also somewhat rosy now. ) Did that mean that she won the game--even though she had yet to even take her turn ?? Or would it be considered a foul game since the loud noises caused him to jump and therefore lose ??
It seemed like HE was giving her the win--but could she really take it ?? “ A reward ?? Is it really okay for me to ask such a thing when I wasn’t even able to take my turn ?? ” Even if she were to take up his offer on a reward, she had no idea what she would even want in return. “ Is it even a fair win for me when you lost due to an unforeseen event ?? ”
