OOC: A small important PSA from Sunset mun, I’m officially retiring this blog! Yeah, this blog is going on archive. You all probably expected this due to my basically ‘abandoning’ the blog.

If there was a do over. Would you and the mane 6 try to talk to King Sombra and show him friendship and kindness ? And see if he would be a better pony. From what i have seen in movies tv shows and cartoons a act of kindness to the most of evil foes .Warms there heart.

it had been some time since the empress had last come to speak to this ‘creature,’ of which she still didn’t know the name of.

his quarters had all but been abandoned when he emerged from his rest, after she had followed the path to them previously.

and now she had returned back just to speak to what she had thought to be a beast within, only to find an ally awoken from slumber.

“ it’s... about you, and the place you first woke up. that chamber or whatever... w-where celestia and luna had once visited you. “

she still shuddered hearing the name, but she had to pull through this.

twilight listened as close as she could, with perked ears, and eyes glimmering to the brim with curiosity, taking silent notes in her head. she blinked, straightening her neck, and placing her hooves closer together.

* | “ so i see... ”

she mumbled to herself, eyes momentarily casting a glance over the... elf? is that what he said? she took a second to think of his words again as her thoughts slowly climbed back into place, covering other wounds to her brain.

* | “ they needed you to be in there for that long? but... ”

* | “ if they wanted to leave clues for someone else to find, that must’ve meant they knew something bad was going to happen to them... i never expected what happened to celestia, but nothing bad has happened to luna. she very well could’ve come here herself, instead of i. ”

the empress was snapped out of her trance at the sound of copper’s voice.

she closed her book, already having a mental bookmark. maybe she’s read this book before… ya think?

“ i just wanted to get out of canterlot earlier today, it seemed. i’ve been making a habit to visit other cities more often. it’s gotten… stuffy… up in the castle. “

“ i didn’t expect to see you out today, in uniform as well. don’t tell me; is tempest calling you a pushover again? i’ll knock some sense into her if i have to, haha. “

He had to laugh when she said Tempest called him a pushover.  “Nah, I’m just filling in for a sick guard in Canterlot,” he replied to her.  “She’ll probably call me a pushover again when I get there, but at this point I don’t really care.  Weird thing is that I don’t talk the talk that much.  A small amount of confidence and ego can be healthy, you know.”  He rolled his eyes instinctively after the last sentence.  Anyone would know that he was taking a light jab at Rainbow Dash.

she dipped her head, nodding along as copper was talking, taking just a second to laugh at his last comment.

* | “ though i do suppose you have a point. it’s okay to have an ego, but not when it gets to the point that you’re all you ever talk about. ”

she covered her muzzle with one hoof, snickering softly, feeling her wings twitch and quiver with her laughter. she calmed herself down a moment later with a deep breath, softening up her wide grin.

* | “ don’t let tempest bring you down though. she’s a bit of a bull-headed pony, but she’s just being blunt. and there’s nothing wrong with that. sure, it can seem mean, but sometimes the hard truth comes to a pony who’s learned the hard way what it is. ”
