this is exactly how not to design things. i guess it's acceptable for "kids will relate to this" but these look right out of a pit of deviantart

if you're going to design a creature, use at least 3 inspirations. blend them, do not frankestein animals together, and make it look like it evolved and has purpose. i swear it'll look better

i could go on and on and might make a post about creature design if i ever have time (and once i learn more myself!) but i'll hop off my soapbox for now
