I can’t tell if I hate this season of the vampire lestat or not
I want you more than anything in the world
The insanely stupid and disgusting way that Louis was processing his grief (Regina, the diary, Bruce even) fooled me for a minute there. For a minute I really thought that Louis was genuinely grieving the loss of Claudia and it almost made me want to forgive him.
When Claudia came back in the seance, though. It reminded me how, at the theater, I genuinely wanted Louis and Lestat and Armand and the entire theater coven dead. Because even when she was being killed in front of them, all Louis and Lestat were worried about was each other. At the seance, Louis only cared about his guilt. His overwhelming, suffocating, maniacal guilt that spares no one in search of forgiveness. Why the fuck would Claudia want to come back from the dead, where Madeleine is missing, just to see her failure pathetic mess of a father figure heap his guilt and entitlement onto her? Can’t she even be dead in peace? And he wanted her to, what, clap and congratulate him for reading her private diary TO HER RAPIST before he killed him? Is he joking?
How am i supposed to go on about my day knowing claudia and madeleine are apart? That madeleine accepted death hoping to be reunited with claudia in the afterlife only for claudia to be stuck nowhere bc of her unfinished business, unable to move on. That she has looked everywhere for her and she is surely looking for her lover too, wherever she is. That destiny is so cruel and after having such hard lives and a short time with each other, STILL not even in death can they rest peacefully together.
this episode fucked me up so bad
I'm dying at Lestat and Claudia's synchronized horror faces at Louis' AUDACITY of saying that, lmao
Please, people said she was harsh with Louis? Book!Claudia told him to kill himself and actually stabbed him. She was nice.
IT HURTS SO BAD
Feed her only ashes.

THE VAMPIRE LESTAT
She, she, she, it is she… It is often she. And in the old songs and in the long nights, she holds him in the softness of her arms, in her arms that are open, in her arms that are wide, that are open, that are always, that must always be open. And in the old ways and in the old laws, this was arranged. All this was arranged. And who arranged it? Did Amel? And that is what it means to be loved. It is Amel. It is always Amel. It is often she… Into the land where the dead are kept, where the dead are worshipped. And why the days without number? And what am I for? What is this for? And what should Amel do with it if not to answer? And why are they throwing stones? And why is she curled on the ground? And why is it wound… And in my eyes is desire, and why is it desire? And why does he tell her what God has said? And why Amel in their mouths? And why must my voice be smooth? And why must I sing so low? And why is she kept? Why must she be kept? And why in this place must she be kept? And what does it mean if you are not asked? And what does it mean if you are not answered? And what is it to see and to know, but to be told… You have not seen. You have not known. And why is her tongue cut out? And why is her death prolonged? And when will it stop? And who will stop it? And why must they, must we, must I, must he, must they, as the millennia, unfold? Why the girl curled? Why her eyes lowered? Why on the side of the road? Why limp in the straw? I am the girl! I am the god! I am the voice! I am the song! I am the night! And I can answer! I can arrange it! I can say rise, and I can say speak! And I am her! And I am she! And I, I, I, I am the answer!
