Amber, during these 10 years under the company. You paved the way. Not for the others, not for the rookies. You paved your own way, cause nobody was like you, because you’re unique. You decided to stay true to yourself. You decided to stay beautiful, not matter the obstacles. Back then, in the industry, there were not much girls like you. You know, short hair, tattoos, independent, speaking openly about mental struggles/gender expectations... But it didn’t stopped you. You brought positive energy into SM entertainment. You’re known for being the good friend with everyone. Well that’s true because you are very warm-hearted. Even people who met you say it, I haven’t but I believe them.
You brought your singularity in SM. And you brought your work! You’re an amazing director and editor.
In French, we have a proverb that says “On n'est jamais mieux servi que par soi-même” which means “You’re never better served than by yourself”. And I truly believe you applied it. When you had project, you weren’t sitting here and waiting for the company to do it for you. You always stood up. And did it by yourself. Because nobody knows you better than you. You worked hard for what you wanted!
I admire you because you have the courage to take the necessary decisions. A few does.
In 2009, when you entered the industry where you could barely relate on someone, that requires courage.
In 2017, saying that you were tired of SM mistreatment by your two posts on insta, that requires courage.
In 2018, when you released your rogue rouge mixtape, almost on your own, without the company’s support, that requires courage.
In f(x), working hard like you did, taking care of the member, being absolute pioneers, that requires courage.
Today, saying publicly you’re officially leaving the company who held you for 10 years, that requires courage.
Today and forever, I'll be with you, I'll support you, I'll enjoy every moment with you!
