:Leaves out a saucer of milk. No reason. There may just be hungry cats about and there’s no reason for them to starve.:
Tiptoes over to the saucer of milk and knocks it over. This kid is like a frickin cat and can’t leave things the heck alone.
Winces at the telltale sound of a saucer being knocked over and milk spilling all over the place. Emerging from his office, he leans against the doorframe, skinny arms crossed. In his off-duty clothes- black turtleneck and pants- he resembles a skinny black feline himself.
“So… vere you planning on cleaning zhat up, junge, or…?”
Chase looked down at the spilled milk, then up at the slender man, brow furrowed ever so slightly. His expression was quite reminiscent of a cat looking defiantly at its owner after knocking something over.
Completely ignoring the man’s question, he responded, “Ya really shouldn’t leave stuff like that just out there. Might attract rats or some shit. And, I dunno what a ‘junge’ is, but if it’s somethin’ bad, I ain’t one.”
Chase couldn’t help but find his eyes roaming across the other man’s slender figure. It was a pretty rare occurrence for him to catch someone in their civilian clothes, and it always caught his eye. There was always a sort of scandalous feeling at seeing someone else out of uniform.
“To simplify, ‘kid’. Vhich you ah. In comparison to me, by any means.” One leg is tucked behind the opposite knee, almost casually. Slender fingers drum against his forearm, icy blue eyes regarding the boy from behind polished round lenses.
“I’d just put zhat out, und vas going to bring it in after ein vhile. Zhere is ein katze or two zhat come around zhat I vas leaving it out for. But I repeat. Ah you going to clean zhat up?” He leans forward a bit. “…or are you going to haff to explain to people less forgiving zhan I am vhat you ah doing after hours in zhe opposite base, hmm?”
"Oh. Kid. I, uh, guess you're right." Chase shifted awkwardly, moving his weight from foot to foot as he tried to self-soothe to calm himself in the extremely awkward situation.
And there was the threat. Oh, shit. Chase didn't much feel like getting sent back through Respawn right now... He'd gone through the process enough today. For a lack of a more suitable clean-up method, the boy scrabbled out of his shirt, kneeling down and mopping up the milk with said shirt hastily to avoid getting maimed by someone from the opposite team.
When the milk was cleaned from the ground, Chase picked up the now-empty saucer and handed it to the Medic. "Uh.... Here. Sorry. I, uh.... Sorry." He gingerly picked up the now-dropping shirt with a wince. No way in hell that was going back on. "That, uh... 'S that better?"
