So uh, is there a way to make an AU and have it go to a good home because you know you don’t have the mental capacity or skill to really expand on it?
Cause I made one and I don’t know what to do with it?
I was just thinking that maybe Arceus decides to teach Volo a lesson in helplessness and how his actions affected others.
So Volo got turned into an Eevee and sent forward in time to Unova with a mission to help Emmet stay alive and adjust if Volo ever wants to return to being human.
And he’s got extra floof on his head to hide his eye (which is blind due to an incident when he was younger)
And he’s so damn grumpy because he’s pissed at Arceus for this punishment and he hates this body (it’s useless for what he wants to do) and he doesn’t need to do customer service so he doesn’t have to fake being happy anyway.
And let of why Arceus did this to Volo is because Emmet is having a hard time adjusting while Ingo is gone. He’s depressed and anxious but trying to hold it together.
So when Eevee!Volo is found near Gear Station, everyone thinks that maybe a new Pokémon project will help him fill the empty space. (And they also assume that Volo was abused and ran away based on his blinded eye - it’s rare thing to see a permanent non-genetic disability in Pokémon in the modern Pokémon world)
So maybe Emmet and Eevee!Volo will help each other recover, is the general line of thinking.
Eevee!Volo wants nothing to do with Emmet at first. Its creepy seeing Warden Ingos face on this weirdo and he’s of the opinion that Emmet just needs to get over it. People died and disappeared all the time in Hisui and when he tried to fix it, he got stopped by a child! So apparently this is just how Arceus wants the world to be!
But Emmet is determined and Eevee!Volo decides to just go with the flow. At least he’s not expected to battle, instead he is more like a very grumpy, very pampered emotional support service animal.
But as time goes by and Eevee!Volo sees how Emmet is a nice person (if fucking weird) and really misses his brother. And how Emmet is doing what he can to keep himself together in Ingo’s absence but there are still very dark days.
Both Emmet and Ingo’s Pokemon don’t really trust Eevee!Volo, though, even after Eevee!Volo starts realizing how wrong he is.
They play nice whenever humans are around, however.
Anyway, this AU is free to a good home.
