BIO:
Rune grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, as the oldest of four siblings. With both of his parents working long hours in the medical field, Rune naturally stepped into a caretaker role, making sure his siblings were always looked after. He’d pick them up after school, drag them along to his soccer practices, and include them in his gym sessions so no one ever felt left behind. That sense of responsibility shaped him into someone dependable, steady, and deeply family oriented. To this day, his siblings remain his best friends, and despite the miles between them, their bond hasn’t changed.
In high school, Rune was well known as the captain of the soccer team, though he never leaned into the stereotypical jock persona. He was the kind of popular kid who earned respect for being kind and approachable rather than cocky. He fell in love young and his first real relationship stared in tenth grade and lasted well into his first year of college. Rune thought she was his forever, but when he discovered she had been cheating for nearly a year it had broke something in him. The breakup was messy and left him devastated, shaping his outlook on relationships for years to come. Instead of letting anyone get too close again, Rune threw himself into his studies and fitness, keeping things casual but never serious out of fear of getting hurt again.
After graduating university, Rune decided to leave Asheville behind and start fresh in Aurora Bay. He’s lived there for eight years now, working steadily as a personal trainer and quietly building a life he’s proud of. His siblings visit whenever they can. Though he’s been cautious with his heart, Rune feels like he’s finally reaching a place where he’s ready to try again with love if the right person comes along. But for now, he’s not actively searching, but there’s a part of him that’s hopeful, even if he won’t admit it out loud.
HEADCANONS:
Rune has a big sweet tooth, he usually goes for late night runs to the ice cream shop.
where: grocery store or coffee shop, wherever you might find pumpkin spice XD
"I'm not the type to yuck someone else's yum, and I know everyone's excited about Halloween and the 'ber months, but can't we wait for summer to be over before we start with the pumpkin spice?"
Rune's eyes widened as he looked over to Kalani, "Wait they have pumpkin spice now?" The excitement on his face said it all. He was simply a simp for pumpkin spice anything. "This is the best day ever! I think it should be year round personally. Why does pumpkin spice have to just be tied to Halloween?"
“Hey!” Conrad said, waving enthusiastically. “Glad you could make it!”
In an effort to enjoy the tail end of summer before work picked back up again, Conrad had organised a little get-together with some friends of his — nothing fancy, just a potluck with food, drinks and games beneath the summer sun.
“Did you manage to find time to bring anything for this? If you did, there’s a table over there that people have started putting stuff out on. Should be some coolers if you need one!”
"Hey, Conrad. What's up?" Rune's tone was casual, a small smile spread across his lips as his eyes met the others. "Thanks for inviting me. I'm just glad I managed to get the time off work." He said with a laugh, he was constantly at the gym. Though, that was exactly what he signed up for. Always wanting more hours to keep himself busy. "I did, yeah." He held up the tray of cookies. "Classic chocolate chip." He laughed, setting the tray on the table before he found himself a drink. "What's been new with you, man? Catch me up. It's been a minute."
