i think covid genuinely froze me in time. i have moved on from 2019 and 2018 and all the years before that. but for some reason, i still feel like the same person i was when i was 11. i still like the same things i liked back then, if not then things very closely related to them. i think my path just ended there and the sign at the end of it said yeah, this is who you’re gonna be for the rest of time

the kind of scene that always pierces me in the chest is when a character vents all of their bottled up feelings to another character who is close to them but is unable to understand the weight of their words due to a developmental disability. the other character is aware of this but continues to talk anyway as some kind of outlet.

and it hurts even more when they start asking questions… even when they know the other party will not respond
