Why make the Discord?
The intention is to create a place for Spider-man and Venom fans of all kinds to interact and exchange ideas! We can talk about anything and everything: the comics, movies, video games, etc!
You don’t necessarily need to ship SpiderVenom to join.
The general chatroom could be about anything, shipping not needed, really.
What are the general rules and expectations?
Trolling and harassment or otherwise will not be tolerated.
Make newcomers feel welcome and wanted!
Spamming and shitposting are fine, as long as they’re kept minimum in channels other than in shitposts-memes.
No NSFW content except in their designated channels. Please ask the admin or a mod for permission to access.
NO racist, queerphobic, or otherwise obscene and highly offensive speech! Any excessive hate speech will not be tolerated.

why do you think Spy is Scout's biological father?
Well, for starters, they already have the most hilarious teenage son/father relationship. Scout being horribly mean to Spy, Spy ignoring Scout most of the time, but at the end of the day, they really care about each more than anything.
It’s canon and been shown multiple times in the comics that Spy’s biggest weakness is kids. They’re drawn to him, and he cares for them like no one expected he would. So imagine Spy having a child of his own? Can’t you imagine he’d always want to be a father if he loved children so much?
Not to mention, look at how much Spy cares about Scout. It’s honestly adorable. He thought he would die in three days and what does he do, help Scout get his dying wish. And look at this gif from Expiration date, when the explosion goes off, Spy’s arm, instinctively just goes for Scout.
And look how proud Spy is when Scout says that he’s good at something. Just look at that adorable face, there. He wants Scout to think of him as a father figure to look up to.
Or the way Spy’s face just fell when Scout teased him during the bucketlist, thing. If you look at the comics, again and again, Spy risks his neck to help Scout and sticks around for the consequences. That’s something only a parent would do for their child.
Also Spy’s famous, “Ah, ma petite chou fluer” line convinces me that he loves Scout’s mother for much, much more than sex, which leaves me to believe he’d want to be a husband figure to her, not some suave foreign man she slept with once, y'know? And if he cares about Scout’s mother, he probably cares about her kids.
So in conclusion, Spy is definitely Scout’s father, and if he had been able to raise Scout, he would have done the best damn job ever.

What is Discord?
As mentioned above, Discord is an app that’s like Skype but was made primarily for gamers, so there’s no video calls and you don’t have to download the available Desktop/Mobile app because it works in your web browser, but it works very much like any other group chat.
A chat server on Discord has several channels for different topics and functions so we can organize ourselves.
We have categories dedicated to fanworks, get togethers, shitposts, and more!
