i get why so this isn't a criticism just a musing, but its interesting that whilst the wider yellowjackets fanbase agrees Jackies being misremembered, it also insists on strongly associating jackie with pink. despite the fact its heavily implied pink was a colour chosen for her through convention and expectation, even if she internalised it. the colour jackie actually chose for herself was blue.

idc if im wrong, but lottie and nat are so intertwined in every possible way imaginable (platonic, romantic, soulmates) and when i see people discuss if they’re friends or not, to me they’re characters that are meant to exist along the same strand of fate. they go beyond than just being friends or even lovers. to me there are no words what lottienat is like, friends/rivals/soulmates/enemies, it just doesn’t capture the gravity of what they are.

Something about Coach Ben seeing his own neglectful childhood in Natalie, trying to encourage her and care about her in a way that his own parents (and Nat’s parents) never did, using the kindness and softness he sees in her as his last shred of hope that there’s still good in these girls even as they begin to descend into savagery, and then having to watch that darkness slowly take hold of her, too, and he’s powerless to stop it.
