Talons? I’ve never seen anything like that before.
Nobody has, apparently. There’s also a witch involved.... I... don’t have a good feeling about it.

Nobody has, apparently. There’s also a witch involved.... I... don’t have a good feeling about it.
somcthingwild:
Either whoever made it, or another like it. You said it was a hybrid; do you know what else it was, in addition to a werewolf?
I’m no sure I have any good guesses, honestly. It had talons, Rose. Like on a bird of prey.
somcthingwild:
Created and then killed…do you think he was killed by his creator?
Yes, or someone adjacent. Who else would be able to kill something like that so effortlessly and without leaving evidence?
somcthingwild:
You think someone created him?
Its a nefarious plan if so, but yes. I think he was created. And then killed. Almost no trace to the killer.
somcthingwild:
A werewolf hybrid? Never. I didn’t even know such a thing could exist. What could be bitten by a werewolf and turn, yet still be what they were before?
Neither did I until I saw one. And if I’m being entirely honest, I’m not convinced it was exactly natural.
somcthingwild:
None yet. But I don’t plan on giving up until I find out who did this and make them pay.
Thank you, Rollin.
We’ll find them. Although, we do have some... interesting events unfolding here too. Have you ever come across a werewolf hybrid?
somcthingwild:
I wish I could say I did, but…it would seem I don’t have any family left. Any family related by blood, at least. I was hoping…I could stay with the family I do have, for a while. You. If you’ll have me.
Well. That sucks. Any leads?
You’re always welcome here, Rose.
somcthingwild:
Better now that I’m seeing you again. How are you, Rollin?
Same as you. Did you find what you were looking for?
somcthingwild:
Hey. Miss me?
Not even for a minute.
How are you, Rose?
scmethingwild:
I can just smell the magic. I’m sorry, Rory. But…if we go out to the woods tomorrow, I can try to follow the scent.
It’s okay, Lucy! That’s already way more information than we had before! Let’s have the witches try a locator spell first and then we can start looking for the scent in the woods to follow.
scmethingwild:
Are you on edge because of the chimera?
I’m sure they will. We can try tomorrow. Do you want to come along for the spell?
Yea, probably.
Definitely. Anything I can do to help comes up, I want to be there to jump in.
scmethingwild:
No. No matter what Rollin is feeling, she would never put us in danger. If she felt like there was something we needed to know, something we would be in danger not knowing, she would tell us.
You’re right. I’m sorry. There’s never been a reason for me to doubt any of you, least of all Rollin. I’m on edge and jumping to the worst possible conclusions.
Do you think the witches would have time to get a location on this thing anytime soon?
scmethingwild:
[Lucy opens the plastic bag, carefully inhaling the scent on the fabric. There are different scents to sort through; she knows her packmates scents well, and she filters out Rory’s scent, then Allison’s, and any traces of the others that may have found their way onto the fabric. The scent of plastic can be discarded, as can the usual scents of the forest. The scent of blood is still strong on it, as is the chimeras scent, but underneath that, she finds something unique. She inhales again, a look of alarm crossing her face.] Rory…whoever this belongs to, I don’t think it is another chimera. …I think it is a witch.
A witch? That’s... unexpected. Is there anything else you can tell from it? Like, magic type or anything?
scmethingwild:
Me too. That is a really good idea! Wait…do you still have the fabric? Maybe I can get a scent from it!
Oh! That’s great idea, Lucy! [Rory rummages through her bag and pulls out a plastic bag, in which is the piece of fabric.] Here you go.
scmethingwild:
No, she hasn’t. Do you think it’s possible she’s seen something like this before?
She said she hasn’t but she really hasn’t talked any more than that. And I didn’t want to push her too much in the state she was in. Although, if she doesn’t say something soon, I’m thinking we may need to push a bit, even if we don’t want to. I don’t think she’d keep information from us that would put us in danger at least... do you?
scmethingwild:
If they were able to track them when we could not, maybe they are the person who created them…or another chimera. But you are right…either way, I don’t understand why they would have killed him.
Me either. There’s so much we don’t know and it just worries me. Although Allie thinks we could use the fabric we found to do some tracking spell. So that’s something at least.
scmethingwild:
Yeah. Do you know why?
No, not completely at least. It started once she saw the chimera. I haven’t seen her act like this since... well, since she was with her first pack. Whether or not there’s something that triggered a trauma response or if it actually has something to do with that time period, I don’t know. Has she said anything to you?
