Except that it actually was classist most of the time. Why do you think they were constantly called stupid. Do you think Liam was compared to a neanderthal because he genuinely is stupid? Or dare I say it might be because he's Irish with a thick accent. Do you think people making fun of Liam's accent and treating him as stupid just because they can't understand him, is somehow not classist? Hell that even happens in the gcest fandom sometimes. Do you think that when criticizing Noel's lyricism by saying he can't be profound, that is somehow not classist? Because he can be profound, and quite often, it's just that people don't bother to read into his lyrics because they're too simple. (And for other reasons but let's just ignore that bit for now lol)

And that is not me trying to undercut every criticism on how simple Noel's music can (emphasis on can) be. Again, I've even made jokes about this before. And this is also not me trying to undercut any frustrations had with the brothers themselves. Like yes not everyyyyy single criticism can be boiled down to "oh you're just being classist", do not be mistaken they have said veryyyy dumb things I'm not going to defend but let's also not act like a majority of the criticism for oasis early on didn't come from a very classist mindset.

A common excuse that is used for my sister lover is that it's supposedly about a different band but considering it's very flimsy I don't understand why instead you wouldn't just say that Noel, like all songwriters, sometimes makes up scenarios or gives narratives to his songs. But it's like they have to deny the incest altogether instead of just attributing it to Noel's creativity or something
