I love how chaotic it is
He looks uncertain and haunted in the first one. The star on his shoulder looks more like blood stain, like even that isn't sure of what to make of itself. He doesn't have his mask to conceal is feelings, the hair is falling to his face and obscuring his sight like it's also obscuring his brain. Doesn't know what to do, what to think of himself, the background is shifty and black and looks like a scribble. He looks so hauntingly peaceful because his brain is a mess, and on the verge of snapping because he can't remember anything at the same time. Also the tolls on the right, that nail/blade looking thing is selected, which gives the impression of still being under construction. He needs parts of himself cut away to make him a soldier, and no longer a person.
The second one is more controlled, the star is sharper, his eyes are straight ahead, the background is all blood red and still, his mask is on, like a piece of his identity keeping him together and making him that Winter soldier. The blade/nail whatever that is no longer selected and isn't being used, which means he's already molded into the perfect shape. The cyan marker is selected but isn't used anywhere. Like a threat to change him, but isn't necessarily needed yet
And I love how there's a literal stick dynamite that says "obliterate". Just sitting there, not harming, but also just this constant of imminent threat, "look how easy it is for us to destroy you". Like he's an asset, The Asset, completely expendable and can be created from the top, therefore the entire thing looking like a desktop painting app in the first place. "export" to anywhere else where he's needed. "options" to what to do with him. "oops!" we accidently broke him beyond repair
ABSOLUTE CINEMA I_o_I I LOVE ART
