How do I see the Russian Sherlock Holmes with vitaly Solomin. I don't care if it's not in English I will watch anyways

I originally downloaded it off a site that no longer exists and have now owned my own copies for years so I’m no longer sure how someone could go about getting their own. Any ideas from anyone else?

Guess who’s turning 80 today!

Vasily Livanov made childhoods of a vast majority of Soviet and Russian children as Karlsson, crocodile Gena, Boa and other cartoon characters. He even made one cartoon himself, but still, most importantly, he is remembered by everyone as Sherlock Holmes.

We know him by his unique voice, his hugs, smiles and troll acts. Never being a theatre guy in his entire life - the school that shapes every Soviet/Russian actor Stanislavsky style - he is still as amazing, and can be truly called one of the high class actors of hardcore Soviet training. He is a hereditary actor, though.

He’s been everywhere in his life, getting into fights, serious pranks, alcohol, dealing with his son’s quite huge problems. Never forgetting to be a pure intelligent who lives for the sake of art only and highly treasures literature, quality movies, animation and books. Just to think somewhere since 2006 he dropped out of this acting stuff entirely because he knows it’s pure crap nowadays, dedicating his life to writing kids’ books and autobiographies.

Vasily Livanov is a mixture of a local legend, a grumpy grandpa, an innocent cinnamon roll and an explosive man, and he doesn’t even need our protection from this cruel world, so let’s just appreciate his amazingness today. What would Soviet cinematography and the world of Sherlock Holmes be without this man?

So, after hell knows how long we FINALLY subtitled My Dearly Beloved Detective! Here it is, fresh, ready and perfect. Still in 360p though *sigh* I wish youtube allowed us, plebs, to repload videos, since hey, the new Holmes series are in full HD now, but not on youtube.

Guys, dance. It’s out.

So, the first episode of the new Sherlock Holmes series with English subs is here, it’s a torrent file. Subs are attached as an .srt file and could be turned on in Media Player Classic, Windows Media Player, Nero 7 (and above), etc. Feel free to inform me or my teammate sve-tka if something is not working.

And a side note by me: I liked this episode only from the middle, for example. If you’re not impressed, wait for it, and if not even there - wait for the second one, because it’s freaking awesome.

Does Professor Moriarty use a cane in the Russian series?

I want to say no. I don't have my dvds on hand right now so I can't say for certain, but from what I remember and from what's in the Moriarty tag, I don't think he uses a cane.

Can someone confirm or deny this?
