"making them afraid will make them more racist" that's wild to me, because we live in a whole culture of social consequences for antiracism anyway. It is literally safer to be a racist than it is to speak up against it, socially.

Idk about you, but "I'm afraid no one will want to be my friend if I'm a white supremacist" seems like a pretty logical thought process to have, and I wish THAT were the normal and not "I'm afraid my friends will hate me if I tell them they made racist jokes".

Hello again! Since you thought my last ask was “evil” here’s an ask that’s truly diabolical! If you’ve ever seen or heard of Sonic underground, do you think it was a missed opportunity on the creators part to exclude Tails? I mean a little Kit with abandonment issues finding out that his brother has actual blood siblings could get really worried that he might not want him anymore. Add the fact that the new siblings might be jealous of this little fox and his deep bond with THEIR brother, could lead to some delicious angst!! Also if Tails got an instrument, I think he’d get something brassy.

Dw, I still remember the underground show actually if slightly bc i remember watching it when I was teen. I wanted to see more tails than just the AOSTH or the freedom fighters show alone.

Excluding Tails from underground? Yes, its the worst decision they made...

I've noticed a user named scrungleclaws had made artwork about your Tails and Kit aus, and I was curious about them and wanted to ask if you could explain them, if you're okay with that?

That would be fine. The AU's @scrungleclaws made art for are a Siren AU and a God AU.

In the Siren AU, Tails is a member of a family of sirens consisting of, Nine, Sails and Mangey. They use believe mobians to be little more than animals. The sirens destroy their ships, then use their song to enchant the survivors, who they use as slaves and food. Kit and Surge were stowaway's on one such ship, Tails curious about mobians takes him home secretly to keep him safe from his brothers. Tails wants to learn more about mobians and Kit wants to find a way to escape and save Surge, all the while both begin developing feelings.

The god AU takes some notes from the stories of Hades and Persephone and Eros and Psyche. Kit is the god of water along with many other titles and the little brother to the queen of the gods Surge. The other gods are either trying to befriend him to get the queens favor or talk behind his back and few pray to him, leaving him sad and isolated. Surge decides to cheer him up by getting him a mortal pet. Tails was deemed special at birth due to his tails and was raised to be a sacrifice to the gods. He to was isolated, spending every waking hour practicing various dances, reciting poems and singing songs, to be the best sacrifice to the gods imaginable. Surge takes him and gifts him to Kit as a birthday present. Kit accepts him out of politeness, having no interest in mortal servants, but over time he begins to like him and very slowly romance blooms.

For some points on the plagiarism under the read more (what I collected/organized while building up an email to send):

1) TIMELINE RGB was created long before, over a decade before Mr. Puzzles first debuted. (*RGB's first appearance may have been 2011, was a little iffy on that)

2) UNDENIABLY UNCANNY RESEMBLANCE The number of traits, some uniquely specific to and representative of RGB's design, that are copied in Mr. Puzzles design are too many to be chalked up to 'just a coincidence'

Especially when you look at the designs of all of the other TV head characters out there - I collected as many as I could find (though I'm sure there's more) and none of them come even close to sharing the number of similarities that these two do.

3) TV MODEL AND DESIGN CHOICES While looking up references for older TVs, I found that for the exact TV they're based on (small retro box TV with knobs in the upper right of the TV and an antenna) most of the references didn't have a vent on the side of them like RGB and Mr. Puzzles do.

I looked up 4 different reference terms, and still had to scroll a while before I found one that matched exactly (above collection just a general sample/example of types of TVs I found). Unless my browsers are wigging out, either the pictures that would come up for these kinds of TVs were different in 2023, or this exact combination of features are just not very common for this style of TV. If that's the case, it may be a bit strange to design a character with those features together.

Here's where that distinction is important: Mr. Puzzles as a character doesn't have much of a reason to go with this design over other styles of similar TVs. But RGB does. The vents on the sides of RGB's head aren't just an aesthetic choice - they're included as a legitimately integral part of the story-line (Negative RGB). The same can be said for a number of other choices Modmad has made, down to individual items of clothing, that show just how much thought and intention and consideration went into every aspect of RGB's design.

Which makes it that much more frustrating to see him get plagiarized in such a careless manner by people who don't even seem to put much care into their own character (common criticism I've read that SMG4 fans have had about Mr. Puzzles and his 'arc').

4) OTHER PEOPLE, EVEN THOSE WHO HADN'T HEARD ABOUT THE SITUATION FROM MOD, NOTICED This has been noted by fans of both series since Mr. Puzzles first came out.

Some people may have found more points than this, but these are what I stumbled upon. Hopefully helps bring a little more context to the situation.

just to update that nobody from any of the relevant parties has got back to me or made any statement. please reblog this version, as @timmyreads has compiled an extremely comprehensive explanation and evidence of the theft; at first I just wanted to be left alone, but it's really not enough. every time I see Mr Puzzle or even read his name I feel physically sick, it's hard for me to type it even now. I feel violated in every way, and I need help. I can't save myself, I have tried every single avenue available. At this point I need to be saved.

For those saying please/just keep making TPoH anyway, it's not that simple: I can't. My mind and heart are broken. The story itself has stopped communicating with me. I cannot make it any more, not if this situation doesn't change, and that loss of the story scares me more than anything else in the world.

Hawaiʻi is currently in the midst of a natural disaster if you didnt know

Apparently there isn’t much news coverage of this outside of the islands

Towns are flooded, homes destroyed and collapsed, roads collapsed, lives at risk, gas leaks from the flood damage

Haleiwa and Waialua are currently evacuated because the 120 year old dam is at risk of bursting

Mind you that damn is owned by Dole. Theyve known about it needing to be fixed for years and years and years. Despite having more than enough money they refuse

The state has been trying to buy it out from them for years so they can fix it, but the sale hasn’t gone through

Hello, Your SailsxKit stuff isn't normally on my mind (cave Taills for the win), but lately I've been wondering if you think Kit is in a similar boat as Shadow when it comes to longevity? Like do you think being a cyborg will make Kit age at a slower rate than Sails, causing some juicy angst?

Yes, definitely, absolutely. I'm a sucker for ripping my own heart out by shipping characters where one is destined to die much earlier than the other for whatever reason. It's so friggin sad. But also interesting to see how each character deals with it.

Since Kit's cybernetics were developed using the metal virus, which has an "expiration date" of about 200 years, I imagine he and Surge will live about that long. You could argue that Starline may have fixed that bug when making them and say it's longer (or that he's effectively immortal), but I like the idea of ~200 years. Vulcan lifespan. Hehe. It would suit Someplace Kit's personality, with how stoic he is.

I did a doodle of Kit+Sails as old folks before, but I updated their designs for this ask. Pretty happy with how old Sails looks; I usually struggle to show age in animal characters. :3 He's supposed to be 80+ here. (No idea on old!Kit's outfit, hence him being a bit plain)

Btw, these drawings are all hypothetical at this point. I don't want to spoil what will or won't happen in the au/fic. But dang. Hypothetical future Kit+Sails are cute as hell, right? ;w;

Thank fucking god Chopper's been made a mascot for Doctor's Without Borders. Currently Doctors Without Borders are advocating specifically for Palestine because Israel have forced them out of Gaza.

One of the reasons for Israel's forceful removal of organisations such as Doctors Without Borders is because they have outed Israel as the ones bombing hospitals, and not terrorists, as Israel have tried to claim. Doctors Without Borders now continue to speak up for and about Palestine to show the world what Israel is truly doing in Gaza, and to pressure them into allowing aid back into Gaza.

So here's hoping Chopper's inclusion as a mascot will get them more funding, and will get more people researching what Doctors Without Borders does - in turn, helping everyone see the truth of the genocide in Palestine.
