when I was still self harming

I wanted to let you see how the blade touched me

I want to let you see how I lose myself in the midst of opening my flesh

Show you how my blood flows,

And see your vain attempt to stop the bleeding.

If I were to draw a flower on my skin for everytime I felt the uge, my body would be a garden.

But those flowers, you’d never pick.

You’d always shun me like how people shun those infected with disease.

Ridden with pain, you’d shun me too.

All I wanted was for you to know

That if you thought my cuts were bad, you could then realise the pain I was in when I said I could not feel anything inflicted on my body as compared to the pain you caused me.

 But then I decided : you would never realise so just take your rust away from my veins for I am not going to get corroded for you any longer.
