Pulse is a digital mouse-bear hybrid from the in-progress species known as Heartbytes! Their mission? To revive an abandoned mall they stumbled upon between dimensions—Copper Vein Plaza. This forgotten space is filled with old, lost stores and relics of the past. Although it’s fairly dangerous, Pulse faces it all with infinite courage (or perhaps misplaced enthusiasm) as they work to restore it to its former glory… assuming it ever had any. Pulse is curious about humans, having only learned of our dimension through long-lost blogs, videos, and websites. With a little bit of clumsy charm, this Heartbyte is ready to clean up the mall one cursed storefront at a time!
To be totally cheesy and lore-friendly: “Will you take Pulse's invitation to explore the mysteries of Copper Vein Plaza?”
To be more direct: "Will you visit my store, RustyyCrafts, and check it out? It's in the process of themed after being a store in a liminal abandoned mall."
Wow, I actually sat down and finished a drawing in a couple hours. Go me! I know the anatomy is a lil weird, but give me a pass, I haven't properly drawn in a while.

I’m kinda like that meme where the good idea is not to hype people up for something I’m planning, but the great idea is to keep the plan in my head and hype up how cool the reveal will be, only to never do it.
Making new completely broken cookies to counter the previous completely broken cookies is just a losing battle from the start.
Healers and supports were too strong so we added injury.
Shields are too strong so we added a cookie that breaks shields.
Summons are too strong so we added a cookie that does more damage based on how many enemies.
CC resistant teams are too strong so we added sleep.
BTS cookies are too strong so we added a cookie that's does their job even better.
Tanks are too strong so we added health-based damage.
Cookies get killed too quickly so we added multiple levels of invulnerability.
Cookies get stunned too quickly so we added a cookie that punishes CC.
The obvious one has to be the instant kill teams getting one-upped by a different cookie who can just stun the entire team faster. Gingerbrave to Hollyberry to Wildberry and now Frilled Jellyfish giving out water-based buffs on top of it.
Not to mention, you can literally just put both the problem and solution cookies on the exact same teams. You need to CC Stardust before he nukes your team? Too bad they have Capsaicin who will do it first. You manage to survive? No, the invulnerability treasure plus Golden Cheese came back full health and immediately went invulnerable to solo wipe your team. You finally get your combo to hit but oops:
1st Mistake: Your earlier CC delayed Black Pearl so her ult goes off now, dodging everything
2nd Mistake: The combo of healers/shields have delayed the game enough that the 100% damage buff goes off as she hits you
3rd Mistake: She is full health and buffed now btw cause Snapdragon is invulnerable cause BTS cookies were and we needed to capitalize on the retroactive FOMO somehow sorry.
TBH before Snapdragon came out I was planning to be like "haha that was fun guys but the BTS collab ended months ago can we please banish them to the shadow realm?" but they literally made the issue again and worse.
And then anyone who brings up these problems gets "skill issue"d to oblivion regardless that it's (usually) the fault of the game and not them specifically. Everyone crying over pre-nerf 16-30? That's apparently a legitimate issue. But asking for help on any other bullshit gimmick? Oh, skill issue. Get better at the game. Get better cookies. It was easy.
Over time, having to do homework on a video game just has really made me dislike playing games. Knowing that a certain enemy can only be defeated by doing XYZ or that the character you've been building for months is now garbage tier is so... tiring? I don't know. All the games I play feel like chores and I'm just obligated to play or else I'm so far behind on the meta I should just quit. I miss one day in CRK and that might be one pull less to get the new cookie that will be trash next patch but priceless right this second. I'm staying cause I own guilds, but if I didn't I feel like I would've dropped all gachas a couple years ago. It's kinda funny I tend to make guilds to not feel obligated to play professionally, but then get pressured into feeling like I have to play better than my guildmates because I am the leader.
I wanted to see what unknown stuff the generator would make if I put in “adoptable closed species” since a while back I was planning on redoing one I made like a decade ago. Turns out that just gets a lot of brown and white cat? creatures with wacky tails and big hips.
I think they’d be an advanced half-cyborg mammal from a different planet. Oof, on the spot lore and world-building. Um, the pink/blue one is really fast but has bad eyesight because of being a cyclops so the black/yellow one uses technology to assist on scouting missions. Probably like ten feet tall? They’re genderless, I guess. Maybe passive too? Besides sharp feet, the arm department is lacking.
Sorry if these managed to generate an actual closed species, but I’m too lazy to be policed by honor rules. My view on owning adoptables has 100% flipped since 2012 and I (personally) wouldn’t go after someone for designs. Feel free to make your own... whatever these are.
Well, I’m following up with my “draw everyone on this thread” thing from like 2014. I’m sorry everyone who posted and I only drew like 3 of them before disappearing.
I started this one twice back in 2018 before just powering through in one night tonight lmao. I think I just kept trying to draw way out of my comfort zone, like, too far for me to even like whatever I was doing. I’m already drawing characters I’m not familiar with, why did I then try to do the popular dA artist style on top of that?

Yasuko gains a gremlin face. I think it'll be a super rare sighting, but I'm still working out her personality.
Premiering her younger sister, Momoko, and older brother, Kiyoshi. Momoko was/still is a tsundere archetype but leans harder on the shy side. Kiyoshi exists. Idk I have no plans for him and I put off even finishing the drawing cause I have no (motivation to) redesign. The only difference is he's not a literal clone of Yasuko.
I jumped on a trend for once. I thought this one was the coolest out of the bunch, but they’re all pretty normal. I think I’ll draw the first column and the one in the center since they have defined faces. I like the one with a sidekick.
I think Jeff the Wolf would be sorta like Apollo or Soleil in the way that he doesn’t react to most emotions. He’d be cranky for sure. His song might be K.K. Parade just for the whole can’t stop smiling thing. His house would probably have the forest wallpaper with backyard lawn flooring. All his furniture would be cardboard since he wouldn’t have any money. Does Jeff own a house? Would he have just chilled in his parents’ house after the story? Would he even care about his surroundings? I haven’t looked at the fancanon in years.
