studyblr intro.

hello everyone!

my name is lui, and although this studyblr has been around since may 2017, i believe that introducing for the first time will help with achieving the goals i’ve set for the year 2020.

this studyblr was created at the beginning of my 11th grade, and since then, it gave me inspiration and motivation. however, i’ve felt that my performance regarding academic work is still lacking. because of this, i have decided that i will be active in the studyblr community.

about me?

a 19-year-old (about to turn 20 this year) filipino woman living somewhere within the philippines

1st year uni student majoring in statistics

studies at the university of the philippines - diliman

anime & kpop enthusiast

listens to r&b and hip-hop a lot

goals this year?

find what i am really passionate about!!!

rekindle my love for reading and writing

learn to understand and ultimately love mathematics and statistics

oslo’s new Deichmanske library is HEAVENLY. i’m a huge proponent of libraries as community hubs and this place truly brings that vision to life- diverse areas to sit, study, and socialize, a minitheatre, spaces to sew and knit and paint and craft, beautiful & intelligent design, and BOOKS!!! libraries are so undervalued as one of the few public spaces you can just be in for free and it was really awesome to see how many people were excitedly exploring it when I went (there was a line up out the door to enter, busiest place by far on a sunny saturday afternoon in oslo!!)

Some chemistry notes i did yesterday!!

sorry for the inactivity lately, I’ve been crazy busy with school & probably won’t be actively updating until my IB exams are over!! 

On another note, just checked my inbox and its absolutely flooded with asks about how i write my notes. Thank you all so much for the questions but for the sake of my sanity i’ll summarise how i write my notes here so I won’t need to answer the same old questions 100 times hahahha

1. The app i use is called GoodNotes. Unfortunately it is only compatible (if you are using the apple pencil) with the iPad Pro

2. My stylus is an apple pencil (also only compatible with the iPad Pro)

3. The way the apple pen works is just like a regular pencil, and the palm rejection offered by the iPad pro makes writing on the ipad very similar to writing on paper

4. After writing my notes, i print them out ( the paper template i use is gridded, so it may look like graph paper to some people <– for those who ask me where i buy my grid paper)

5. Once my notes are printed, i file them in slide binders (or at least that’s what i call them hahahah)

Hi!! So it’s finally time to tackle the overwhelming notion of studying for the MCAT. It’s June and we’re ready to start with Behavioral Sciences, which looks at the biology behind our psychology. If you notice, my coffee’s almost done but I still love to keep the mug by my side... I like to stay inspired by watching youtube videos of other girls my age which are living and thriving with their successful lives. We loooooveee some powerful women! Let our energies motivate and inspire each other. So far, a favorite of mine is Eve Cornwell. She’s a trainee lawyer, but I adore her energy & work ethic. Definitely recommend you check her out! One day at a time. Let’s do it! ♡
