A California family is demanding answers after it says the negligence of staff at San Joaquin General Hospital led to the death of a 15-year-old girl.
They just decided to ignore her. She was beautiful, young, energetic, she was a cheerleader and we lost her, because someone decided not to do his job properly.
She was complaining about an ongoing chest pain for two weeks, so she went to see a doctor, who told her she’ll be fine and gave her antibiotics. After a few days she returned, because she was not feeling any better and the answer was the same “You’ll be fine“.
“She felt nobody is helping her and she didn’t really understand what was going through her body, but she knew something wasn’t right,”her grandmother said .
And then everything went horribly wrong. Here’s what she texted to her mother : “I NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL, I JUST PASSED OUT, I’M THROWING UP NOW,” the message read.
“My granddaughter was walking around suffering from these blood clots for a period of two weeks and us not knowing that these were going to be her last days” .
The question is why didn’t they help her? For some reason they felt like she was faking it or smth.Could the same thing happen to a white girl? When white people feel sick the whole hispital staff is there to help, but when it’s about black people we see the same story over and over again.
