she cuddled into him, though her head perked up when she heard what he had to say. “awe, really? you actually want your parents to meet me?” she asked, squeezing him around the middle with a huge smile. “i would love that. i’ve never been to the united states– i can’t wait to see where you grew up!”
he looked down at her, smiling back and holding her close. “of course i do! you’re my girlfriend-- i love you, and i want them to meet you because i love them too, you know? we’ve been dating for like....almost a year now. why not?” he chuckled. “i’ll give you the grand tour, don’t worry. i take it that i should buy us tickets, then?”
rvxandy:
“you’re not a dumbass,” andy insisted, shaking her head. “you just don’t always think things through. that doesn’t make you a dumbass. stop calling yourself one.”
“it doesn’t bother me. i know i’m not that smart, that’s okay. i’m good at other stuff,” he assured her, shrugging. he’d been called stupid all his life. it kind of lost it’s sting after about year eighteen.
rvxandy:
“hey, i just wanted to make sure you were thinking about it!” andy answered with a laugh. “you can be a little………………airheaded sometimes, adonis. i’m never sure when you’re thinking ahead.”
“you can call me a dumbass if you want, andy. it’s not the first time i’ve heard it. it’s also kinda true. it doesn’t offend me,” he laughed

“uhh, i have a vague idea,” she called back, locating where adonis kept the bags of popcorn. “we’re recording an album for the end of june for sure. but i think my manager mentioned something about my solo comeback being in the fall? i can ask.” she came back into the living area, sitting next to him, and looking at him expectantly (he hadn’t put his arm around her yet : ( ). “why?”
“yeah, ask. make sure,” he said with a nod, scrolling back up to the tickets for july and august, putting his arm around her shoulders when she sat back down. “i was wondering if you wanted to go to miami with andy and i when we go home for a visit this summer. probably august sometime, because legacy comes back start of july. i want to introduce you to my parents.”
rvhanse:
“hey, whatever you have to tell yourself to sleep at night, man. i was just complimenting your acting chops, since that’s something i’d never see in real life.”
“you’re just mad that when we were teenagers you got stuck doing the laundry because you were the youngest,” adonis huffed, shaking his head. “but i pulled my weight! i’m a good cook!”
“hey babe, i had a question,” donny said, looking up from his phone where he was perusing flight tickets, calling to the kitchen where sola was getting a snack. “what’s your schedules look like this summer? do you know yet? like, with unity and your solo stuff...” @soladarv
“i watched your drama, and i gotta say, not a very believable performance,” hanse announced. “a dude who does his laundry? could never be you.” @rvdonny
“hey now-- that’s not nice,” donny answered, biting back a laugh. “i have problems keeping on top of that, okay! i think if i’m going to make money, employing someone to do my laundry is.... definitely me having privilege, but it helps me function. and it just proves how good of an actor i am...”
rvxandy:
“no dispatch, but lots of fans. kpop is really blowing up back home, you know,” andy warned. “you can definitely be less careful, but i don’t want you getting the idea in your head that you can just throw caution to the wind.”
“hey, i know. she’s just starting off, too. i’m not gonna do anything that fucks up what she has going,” donny said seriously. he was so happy for yanlei and ahmi, but he saw how their lives got turned upsidedown, and that was with ahmi being in one of the biggest girl groups ever. he loved sola. he didn’t want to put her career at risk. “mom and dad live in a gated community, though. and they have a pool and shit. we’d be able to hang out and relax without causing a scene, i think.”
rvxandy:
“adonis, no offense, but if people only remember who i am because you’re my brother, i think i’d rathr just retire,” she answered, rolling her eyes. “that could be really fun! plus, summers back home are a riot.”
“hey, that’s not fair! i’m a super big deal-- it’s only natural that people would make the connection,” donny whined. “right? i think she’d have fun. and it’d be nice-- we can be a lot less careful in public back home. no dispatch, really.”
soladarv:
“you’re ridiculous,” sola retorted with a laugh, taking a step back and handing him the trophy. “should i go stand behind you? make the illusion more real?”
“yeah, get back there-- i have an mc intro to make up,” donny told her seriously, taking the trophy and admiring it. wins suited her.
shinwoorv:
“big fans typically don’t get their idols to reciprocate though– this is more protection for her than you. you can survive fans getting pissy. she can’t,” shinwoo answered firmly. “or throw her career in the balance and gamble. your choice, i guess.”
“fuck, yeah okay. you’re right. i just...we’re both busy a lot. i just thought it would be nice to promote the same time so we actually got to see each other, even if it was just in passing,” donny sighed dramatically.
shinwoorv:
“shut the fuck up or i won’t give you any lines,” shinwoo retorted, rolling his eyes. “see if you can get sola’s schedule too– i want to make sure we’re not promoting at the same time as her if i can. whenever you see her, you get all mushy in the face, and you’re going to get found out if you do that on a music show stage.”
“aw, c’mon, i can just say i’m a big fan or something! it can be a meme! i know fans clowned on kisu a bunch in the early days because sona was his phone background-- it’s not like theyre together or anything,” donny whined.
soladarv:
“i wouldn’t go that far. yein and sona still exist,” sola answered with a snort, rolling her eyes. “oh? i can hand you back the trophy and you can re-award it to me if it’s that important to you? we can pretend,” she laughed
“okay, and? you’re fresh, you’re new, and you’re totally on par with them. not to mention super hyped up from ip.” he looked at her seriously, holding out his hand to take the trophy back. “nothing would make me happier.”
rvxandy:
“well, technically it’s my second. but you’re right– it’s garbage. no one’s going to remember who i am,” andy sighed. “oh, yeah, i forgot that she’s an idol with a job….. well, we’ll find a reason to bring her to the states on vacation someday. bet.”
“now, that’s not true. you’re stuff’s too cool for people to forget it. and also i’m your brother, and also cool, so that too,” donny answered, waving her off. “yeah-- maybe in the summer or something. that could be really fun.”
“prepare yourself and book things accordingly– we’re having more comebacks in 2021,” shinwoo answered bluntly. “not too many, but now that i’m back and yanlei’s kids are getting past newborn status, we can afford to do at least two.” || @rvdonny
“it’s okay. i’m too dumb to book myself anyway-- that’s what managers are for,” adonis said in a sing song voice. “do you think you’ll be up to it? i’m fine, i’ve kept up with mad schedules, but you’re getting old. wouldn’t want you getting tired.”

she smiled, going on her toes so she could kiss him. “yeah, you’re right. i just… am worried about my friend, i guess, but i can’t take it personally,” she replied, sighing a little. “i was honestly surprised! i don’t know why they decided to go in this direction with me, but i’m excited! i think it suits me.”
“it does! terra might think they have lore, but you’re coming for their throats,” adonis laughed, slouching so he could steal a second kiss. “i personally think they should just hand you best female performer of the year just for that, but i may be a little biased. i’m really proud of you, though. a little jealous that i couldn’t have been mc so i could award you with your wins, but......i’ll survive i guess.”
