A month later and my students are engaging in conversations about problems and solutions to set our community up to craft good faith arguments. This rich and complex work is best supported (in my opinion) by a coaching/workshop approach. (via Crafting in Community)

Yesterday two students thanked me for the grace built into my classroom policies. One student was struggling with multiple tests in other classes and another student facing mental health challenges. We must always remember we are teaching humans.

My newest #ungrading practice will include shifting Ss final reflection to a more analytical approach while offering choice including my own reflection tools, rhetorical analysis, and literacy narrative. (via How do you reflect on your practice?)

I've been all in on #ungrading for a while but perhaps the most important reason I'm committed to this work is the messages I receive about my teaching from admin. I hope I never make a student writer feel the way I do. (via An #Ungrading Journey)
