Haven't posted in awhile...got bogged down by assignments and presentations. Walked to school the other day...and somehow resulted in a bloody ankle...ERM but I did snap some pictures :)

I wanted to have a separate blog that isn’t about my weekly personal posts so :) Be sure to tune in to see photos from Ottawa, Toronto and my travels abroad (or school work)

Blogs We Like | Theresa O’Reilly
Theresa O’Reilly's work is yet another example of the positive results that come from expertise in both design and illustration. Among her many obvious strengths, O'Reilly packs a tremendous amount of content and character into each piece without tipping into noisiness or confusion. This accessible density is made even warmer and more buoyant by O'Reilly's dazzling, near-cartoonish coloring.
With interests as varied as “rock candy, space travel, iron and other metals, maps, gems, wizards, and caves,” it’s no wonder O’Reilly’s work spans a range of tones and topics, including the ever-present Tumblr faves Dune and The X Files. But whether it’s Dana Scully or the Bene Gesserit, O’Reilly’s illustrations evoke a distinct boldness, both aesthetically and tonally. That boldness, that unmissable backbone and humanity (or raccoon-ity), is what unites the myriad elements, colors, and inter-narratives into a stunning and engaging whole.

The Beginnings of 2015
Jan 1st- 4th
JAN 1ST- celebrated parents anniversary & new years at tims, my nephew was pretty much ignoring everyone during the party due to his new train set gift. Until his aunt began tormening him by driving a toy car into his train set -cough-
Jan 2nd- Bumming at home and reading more webtoons
Jan 3rd – Returned back to Ottawa, did groceries before a major storm had hit…taking the 6:40am train is actually so difficult. But atleast the rest of the afternoon is opened up and it doesn't waste the entire day away. I also made some broccoli cream soup with some bread & cheese on the side
Jan 4th- Wallowing away at home...and dreading the return of school (LAST SEMESTER OF UNDERGRADDDD)
Summary of 2014
First of all...I’m still trying to catch up with my weekly posts as I was completely consumed by school within the final weeks of December & 3 week recovery of being ill. (But tbh…I’ll probably not get around to it just because I need to start focusing on my portfolio)
So over the course of this year, I went from employed, unemployed and then resumed student status. I traveled to several different cities and went to Europe for the very first time (and hopefully not the last). I also moved 4 times over the course of the year (including back home for a bit).
Recently tried to kick start a new student group at school but it resulted in just becoming a moderator for insert urbanism and I also joined our schools student blog archiblog22.
I started this crazy weekly blog post and I think it has been quite fulfilling (although I had some hiccups here and there, especially the final couple of weeks that were a blur.
Over 3,000 photos later… this is the short summary…
End of November- Mid December Post
Overly lazy and highly doubt I’ll be able to recall much of the last couple of weeks. It literally flew by in a blur. So in the beginning of November I did get sick and lasted until about the 24th? It hit roughly the 2.5-3 week mark and honestly during that time period I was just being a hermit at home. I went to the doctor twice and also delayed a few presentations because honestly I wouldn’t have been able to last talking for more than 2 minutes without having a coughing attack. From Nov. 11-17th I didn’t have any classes which allowed me to recuperate just a tad bit and work on my projects (but I haven’t been outside for the longest period) which probably wasn’t good for my body either. I made the final push on the last couple days of my project….. And somewhere between all that I bought some Davidstea stuff, went crazy with my Starbucks card collection and finally made it through with my presentations :)
My room also became a mess as did my studio space…I had some crazy sleeping schedule within the final 2-3 weeks of finals because I was a crazy nutcase and tried doing too many things again but I’m DONE! +1 more semester to goooo and I’m done my architecture undergrad.

Wow this is such a terrible picture...its 3am and I'm trying to get my head wrapped around why and what I'm programming because I keep on getting off track sigh
I know I've been busy and haven't made any progress with the weekly blogs but I'm just gonna full on rant on my stress:
1. I've learnt that you should still listen to that part of the brain that tells you not to do something (esp. when you are sleep deprived) ie. don't bike when there is ice/snow on the bike path... result: Ranee falling in slow motion and before I knew it I was on the ground
2. Tries to upload panel to print before deadline.....Site continuously crashes (this would happen during finals)
3. Illustrator hates me. Keeps on crashing... even on my simple documents.. THIS WOULD HAPPEN DURING FINALS.
4. I was super excited to show my prof that I printed off my first finalized panel.... and right when I was about to say anything (he was talking with my friend while cutting out some of our maps) when he cut really deep into his thumb with an exacto knife.... I think this is the third time I've witnessed a person right in front of me in Architecture to hurt themselves with a blade.. sigh measure twice, cut once! and make sure where you know where your fingers are at all times! ... i also found out how shitty first aid boxes are designed when they hang from a wall..
5. Got too distracted.. back to work
...this list is gonna expand I just know it
