A gasp came from her mouth, looking down at the small dark splotch on her dress. Quickly looking up at Ruby, putting her hands on hers.

“Don’t worry about my dress. It’s fine. Its just a bit of water.”

Sapphire looked up at the red gem, and let out a small giggle. Before blushing a bit and laughing a bit louder, leaning over closer to Ruby she gave her a small peck on the cheek.

Wasn’t this one of her good dresses though? And she had just tainted it with her spit! RUBY quickly had removed the excess water from her mouth, hesitating to move any closer to the blue gem. Fearing that she might end up making the spot bigger.

❝I AM SO SORRY!! I’ll uh — make you a new one, okay?!❞

RUBY felt the panic rushing in her body, what was she supposed to do? This dress was ruined! (Or at least in her eyes it was) She positioned herself to stand up, but was stopped by — SAPPHIRE. Blinking, she looked to her. Seeing that the blue gem had just said it was fine.

❝But — I mean, what if it’s — This is one of your favorites — and I drooled — I’m sorry, I’ll clea-❞

Her stuttering sentences had been stopped once blue lips had made contact with her cheek. RUBY flushed a cherry. Eyes darting all over the blue gem’s face. She doesn’t mind..

❝I-I uh..I’m still sorry though.❞

“Alright thanks for the help doc I’ll be sure she gets lots of rest.” she said before she made her way back to the room it seemed that the thrones on her whip could come off and get stuck inside someone it would be nice to know if it wasn’t for the fact it happened to Ruby lucky over the time she was knocked out she found Sapphire and as she walked in the room she noticed Ruby was awake “Oh hey Ruby nice to see you awake so seems the wound was a lot worse than I thought it was they had to take thrones strait out of your shoulders and stuff, though even in your sleep you still put up a fight some how anyway.” she said sitting down in one of the chairs “So I managed to find Sapphire while you were um sleeping turns out she was at the big doughnut with Steven.” she could tell that Ruby didn’t seem too happy right now having just woken up in a hospital, but she didn’t have a choice “Look before you get mad at me Sapphire already yelled at me and hit me upside the head for taking you here.” she was really trying to keep the other from moving too much having been told that too much movement could reopen the wounds on the

RUBY heard that voice again. It echoed through the halls along with..AMETHYST’S. Her brow furrowed. The headache was throbbing against her skull because --- Because the purple gem had hit her. Twitching her left fingers against the frozen surface, she slouched over slightly. AMETHYST didn’t mean to hurt her, but -- to actually hit the red gem? She shook her head, carefully scooting herself closer to what she thinks is the edge. Once she felt her feet swing off the counter, the sudden sound of a door swishing open startled her. Jumping, her hands gripped the table, leaving small dents. It was AMETHYST.

Turning her head to the purple blur, RUBY narrowed her eyes. Awake or not, she will find her way to get out of seeing the doctors. Even if that means she’ll have to kick and squirm. Exhaling a loose breath out her nose, RUBY could feel her blood beginning to boil. But to keep from lashing out, the red gem kept herself quiet. Body language perking up as soon as SAPPHIRE’S name had slipped from the purple gem. Her mouth gaped opened, focusing on the subject, RUBY jumped herself off the counter. Grunting from the slight pain it gave when she had landed.

She needed to see SAPPHIRE.

she took notice the other hissing and heard the other yell in pain it was clear the other was in more pain than she was letting on“Ruby I can tell your hurting so I’m doing this for your own good.” she then hit the other right on the top of the head hoping it was just hard enough to knock the other out so that the doctors could patch up the wounds and they could be on there way, but if it didn’t work Ruby was going to flip out even more and might end up getting away from her and she really didn’t want that so hoped that the hit on the head works and she gets knocked out

She was just about to rant more at the purple gem, but something hit her head. Hard. The last thing RUBY heard was AMETHYST saying, ‘Ruby I can tell your hurting so I’m doing this for your own good.’ Did -- Did AME just knock her out?

Everything was black. The only thing running in her mind was SAPPHIRE. SAPPHIRE, SAPPHIRE, SAPPHIRE. Were was she? Why isn’t she here? RUBY could feel small pains, but they felt too faint to get her full attention. She just needed to focus on SAPPHIRE. But -- what if she did leave the red gem to be stranded? Would she do that? Would she?

‘ She needs to get those thorns out. ‘

Is that a voice? Was it her -- No too deep. Who was that? RUBY shifted, she could feel the cold metal against the back of her arms.

‘ There! Good as new! All we need to do, is just wait for her to wake up. ‘

That voice. The red gem furrowed her brow. For what seemed like a few moments was a few hours. She had been startled awake, gasping. Sitting herself up, she couldn’t move her arms very well. What was going on? Blinking, everything was still a complete fuzz, but she could tell that the room she was in was empty. It’s just her alone.

Narrowing her eyes, a sudden sharp pain rushed against her shoulder. Then ceased not a moment later. Growling, she placed a crimson hand on -- something silky? RUBY looked to her shoulder, the blur was white. She didn’t have white shoulders. What the heck even was this? Tugging her finger against it, another pain rose. Grunting, she ceased her movements.

The chill of the room finally got to her, as well as the headache. Huffing out stress fully, RUBY soon figured out where she was.

The hospital.

RUBY blushed a shade cherry. Even though gems didn’t need sleep, she adored the feeling it left after she had awoken -- and it felt 10x’s better when she was with SAPPHIRE.

❝C-Cute? Sapphire..❞

The red gem averted her eyes to look away from her. That flustered feeling churning her insides to feel as if butterflies had invaded everything. -- But that feeling was soon gone as the gem could feel a damp area running down from the corner of her lip down to her chin. ..Did she -- ! Sitting up quickly, the crimson gem rubbed her hand over the wet spot on her mouth, then glanced over at the blue gem’s dress. Embarrassment written across her face as she looked up at those bangs.
