Music wasn’t always Raina’s favorite hobby. At first she was interested in modeling and modeling only. Through all of her high school years, she was in modeling gigs until she got tired of modeling and started writing. She loved poetry, but to transform those poetic words into a song was a beautiful thing. When she wasn’t helping out her mother, she was sitting on her bed, writing songs and speaking with different record labels. She wanted to get signed by the time she turned eighteen and to her liking, she did. After high school was over with, she began to travel the world with her various label members. But everyone knows that just because you’re on the label doesn’t mean you’re gonna be a big star. Instead of being known for her music like she hoped, she became an instagram honey, having over five million followers, followers that didn’t support her music. Not only did they not support her music, her record labels didn’t either. She didn’t let the lack of support stop her from releasing music though. She collabed with more artists to get her name out there more and she also wrote more. Studio sessions lasted from the AM to the PM, but it was all worth it in the end.
At the age of five, Raina Li’s family went bankrupt because of her father’s foolish ways. He gambled every single day, losing everything they had. After that her life went downhill. Her mother who hadn’t worked a day in her life now had to work two jobs just so they could get food on the table. Her father was constantly working overtime, but that meant nothing because he would spend all of his money on drugs. By the time Raina turned thirteen, she and her mother left their life in Chicago and moved to California. Life in Cali was better than expected, seeing as they knew absolutely no one. Raina quickly made friends at the middle school she attended and that went on to high school. In highschool she was known as a hoe because she almost never stayed single. Even though she only dated three boys her entire high school career, people use the hoe word loosely. Her first boyfriend got shot four times, her second boyfriend’s family moved across the country and her last boyfriend committed suicide. She loved them all, but she was tired of losing the men in her life so she hasn’t dated since her senior year, which was almost three years ago. Her father came back into their lives, this time he was clean and not a druggie. He still lived in Chicago, but they all kept in touch.

Raina was a smart girl, she had a lot going for herself, more than what she bargained for. Everybody and they mommas watched Love & Hip Hop, so would it be bad for a girl like her to go on the show and promote herself? Hell no. The gained millions of views with every episode released, she was angry at herself for not thinking of auditioning earlier in her career. It took her a while to gain the courage to tell her parents and close friends that she would be joining the cast, but she eventually let go of her fears and auditioned. She knew the only reason she was coming on the show was to brand herself, and garner a bigger audience. With the help of the L&HH supporters, she could be a trending name every Monday night, bringing more followers and more supporters for her music career.
