She literally waited.
Counting the seconds before putting down the straw broom and lifting her arms above her head. And as predicted, a strong and familiar arm enclosed around her waist while the other cupped the underside of her knees. In no time, Xian Pu was whisked away by one running Ranma Saotome who was– in turn– being chased by their nutty rivals and neighbors once again. Not that she minded; Xian Pu contently nuzzled the crook of her fleeing fiancé’s jaw, kissing the skin their briefly before smiling up to him.
“ ɴɪʜᴀᴏ, ʀᴀɴᴍᴀ ! ” Xian Pu chimed
“What do I gotta do to catch a break you guys!”
He yelled back over his shoulder at the rampage of people.
“Heh. Good morning,” he replied to her with a grin he didn’t bother to mask and mischievous glint in his eyes. Okay, so there was a slight chance he may have egged Kuno on in the first place but all that aside did they really have to chase him all over town like this?
Chuckling his head dipped to rest his forehead against the amazon’s, his eyes shutting briefly as he inhaled, the breath easing the tightness in his chest. His emotions often got all constrained and bottled up like that. He couldn’t help it. Her nuzzle and kisses affected him that way, making his heart race more than it had in the time he’d spent running away from these idiots. And she was rewarded with the raven haired boys gentle smile and undivided attention. While still realizing where to turn, what to jump over and avoid -- in this case it was weapons hurled by Mu Tsu at them.
Yet the ranting and ravings of his rivals still became background noise. Drowned out... All he saw at the moment was her.
