Assignment #13
This semester has been a great refresher on a lot of tools that I currently use in my professional work setting but helped remind me of many useful techniques that I had forgotten about. This is in due part to the repetitiveness of what functions I use within the Google Suite. I also found myself learning quite a bit about the security needs of our daily online use that most would completely ignore or miss in their daily lives. I will continue to use this information throughout my career and run my personal life!
Assignment #12
We attempted a lot of cross platforming this year between Google Suite, Microsoft Suite and OpenOffice. Overall, I would say I had minimal issues with regards to opening and converting files from one program to another. The only real issues I really had was with a couple images that were in a document that went from MS Word to OpenOffice. For some reason he images did not load properly and were broken even though the images were local on my computer. I feel like there may have been some user error in this situation with it possibly being the image type that was being used. With that being said, I honestly did not have any of the errors that my fellow classmates were dealing with. Possible reasons for this could be that I was using the newest model of MacBook Pro with enterprise level access to MS and Google Suite. I can't really think of any other reason as to why I would not be running in to the same errors as everyone else.

Assignment #8
I am a huge fan of Minecraft. I had always assumed(like most) that it was primarily a children's game but I have quickly learned that this is not the case. The base game is quite a lot of fun but can easily get repetitive. When you begin to add Mods, that is when things really turn for the better. As seen in my previous assignment, I have been playing a modded version of Minecraft called Project Ozone that has been really fun. The difficulty level increases as you “level up” through different accomplishments like killing the end dragon. I honestly can not wait to have kids to play this with!

Productivity Software
As much of a fan as I am of productivity software in general, I feel like there is simply a flood of apps and tools that hit the market in a relatively short amount of time. With work I find myself using a new product every few months with not much of a significant difference. Currently I am using Smartsheets which is a fantastic product but has a decent learning curve. Trello on the other hand is extremely user friendly and is used by our more entry level employees.
