a week or so ago, we had a really bad snowstorm, i lost power for almost days in below freezing temps and ended up having to go to a hotel with my cat to keep warm, and it also resulted in losing all the food in my fridge, and i wasn't prepared for the cost, so if anyone could help, i would greatly appreciate, if not, totally understand!

Please Help Us
Hi, it’s Kelsey. Last year mom was very sick and was out of work for most of the year. Thankfully she was able to return to work but the illness hasn’t gone away. There have still been countless doctors visits, a trip to the ER for her heart and most recently many days of work missed or cut short due to complications from the many medications they have put her on in the last two years. All of this on top of inconsistent hours at work and scrambling to work ourselves to the bone to get as many hours as we can. The bills keep stacking up no matter what you’re going through though. We’re behind…on a lot. We’ve had to deal with problems with the car, the before mentioned health problems, we still need to be able to eat. Things have been pushed to the side in hopes that the next paycheck, the next month, something won’t happen and we’ll be able to get caught back up. There hasn’t been a student loan payment made in months. We’re dreadfully behind on car payments and many other bills. Unfortunately, while many of those we’ve been able to work out our rent was not one of them. As of court yesterday we’re being evicted. We’ve tried to talk with them and work something out but they’re no longer willing to even talk to us or return our calls. We tried. We owe $2,000 in rent, late fees and court fees. Our hope is that if we’re able to come up with this money as soon as possible we’ll be able to say. We don’t even know what our eviction date is. Mom’s health is enough of a stress on her she shouldn’t have to worry about whether we’re going to have somewhere to live come Christmas. Nobody should have to worry about this going into Christmastime. Please, please, I’m basically begging for any help. We’re willing to even work out paying you back if you would like. If you don’t feel comfortable donating through this you can easily contact me and we can set something else up. I have paypal, venmo, can even take checks. Hopefully, we will find out a date and if we are able to come up with the money whether we can stay or not.

Like I said, we are willing to work with people on paying back. I’m effectively taking over much of our budgeting so that it’s one less thing my mom has to worry about considering her health. We are in a truly desperate situation and have tried every avenue aside from selling our souls to the devil or going to a loan shark.

Sunday August 8th I noticed that my once rambunctious and active cat wasn’t doing well. Worried, I took him to an emergency vet, one of the only ones open on a Sunday, and he almost passed out in my arms. They took him in immediately, started an IV to give him fluids and did an X-ray only to find the little guy has swallowed a rubber band and that it was blocking his intestines completely. Emergency surgery had to happen immediately as they were worried with the severity of the blockage that he wouldn’t make it through the night. Surgery went well, but he now has to spend 3 days in the kitty ICU to pull through a fever as well as try to gain strength and his appetite back. I’ve already paid for half the surgery- $1500, but considering I, myself, am on medical leave- I simply don’t have the current funds to pay the other half.
I’ve tried applying for Care Credit but was denied because I currently have no lines of open credit. So... at this point... anything helps!
Been picking up acrylics again recently. Since @kingfallsam is my absolute favorite thing to listen to while I work, what better a way to get back into the swing of things? I know it’s not super impressive but I am pretty pleased with this super simple project
