ARENA UPDATE
Location: Shop
Alliance: None (as of now)
Weapons: Dynamite, Hammer + Nails (He took it)
Injuries: None
Events: I wound up alone but didn't mind. I found this old looking shop that had six pairs of boots in it. Using the shoelaces from the shoes I set up a trap and caught a rabbit. The strange colors that once bounced around this room faded and whatever left the brogues and hammer and nails has not appeared so I took 'em.
Setting a Trap || Ryder
There are colors flashing around me when I here that my trap has be activated. I worry that I will not find out what is going on in the shop, and I hope that it will remain harmless. But I run outside to my trap while still holding the stick.
I find that the noose has tightened around a rabbits midsection, but hasn’t killed it. I know that I have too. so I sack it as hard as I can with my stick, killing it. I undo the noose from it’s body and reset the trap. Not sure if il catch anything again in the same spot but it can’t hurt to try.
When I return from the outdoors, I rub the cold from my face with my right hand, while holding the game in my left. I walk back over to the shelves to see if that thing is still here and moving.
You push the door back open to step back into the cabin and the first thing that you notice is a shiny pair of brogues and next to it a hammer and a box of shoemaking nails.
The colours seem to have stopped for now and the cabin is still, you may spend some more time in the cabin or leave to continue exploring, just remember that the night is coming quickly and the temperature is already slowly dropping.
I stopped short upon re-entry. These items weren't here about 5 minutes ago. And I didn't notice anyone else's tracks outside or in. Nervous about the whole thing I decided to stay. But not locked back in the closet, unknowing of whatever has been going on out here while I sat in there. So I drag the other chair that was already in this room to the back corner.
I had two walls behind me with no windows until two feet to my right. and the fire place to my left. In front of me I have a clear view out the two windows on either side of the door, the front door, the shelves and counter on the other side of the room, and the new shoes and hammer.
I sat waiting for anything to change while I skinned my rabbit, and lit a small fire from rubbing sicks together that I gathered outside.
Setting a Trap || Ryder
As I’m bent over and staring out a window from in front of the store. I didn’t see much in the cabinets but i put a few spools in my pockets. May come a time where its useful. may not. I have to keep my distance from my trap or else my presence will scare anything that came by.
But i can’t shake the feeling that I’m not alone. This shop looks like it could be decades old, however its spotless. And I can’t see any other tributes around for the time being. I see a flash of green and I jerk my neck to look at the area. I see nothing, so what ever was just moving was no longer there. Which I didn’t like.
I picked up the large branch like stick that I planned to sharpen and walked slowly towards the shelf.
As you walk towards the shelf a small pink flash catches your attention out of the corner of your eye, down by the fireplace and then another purple just on the shelf above the one you were approaching. It seems as though something small and colorful is trying to move around without being seen.
You begin to investigate as the rope that you attached to your trap snags and the trap outside is sprung, if you go outside you’ll see that you’ve trapped a small rabbit that you’ll have to catch quickly before it escapes, or you can continue to investigate what’s going on indoors.

Setting a Trap || OS
I was becoming restless and I knew the hunger would arrive sooner or later. Im sitting in a closet on a chair starring out a window. Nervous yet bored. I didn’t have any matches and I hadn’t looked around outside for anything I could use. I retained mostly survival skills and I couldn’t think of anything to help me survive.
I looked down at the pile of six pairs of snow boots, including the pair that i had on originally, but changed out of. “God damn, I’m slow.” I said aloud to myself. I was suddenly on my knees unlacing the shoe laces from all the boots. And after I had tie them all together I had two fifteen foot long ropes. Each one was about two and half feet long, so I was left with a longer rope than I expected. I rolled one up and shoved it into my jacket pocket and pushed the chair from in front of the door. Before I left the old shop I scanned all the windows again quickly to check for other tributes. I had to be carful, considering Im one of about five people alone. But still, I couldn’t sit in that room and wait for everyone to kill each other and possibly starve or be dragged out by the game makers. “No one”
I walked out the front door knowing what shapes of sticks and lengths i needed. I searched for any kind of tracks left by a small animal. There was still snow falling so id have to look even closer because they may be covered quickly by the fresh powder. As i looked I found a large stick that I broke up to form two J like shapes. I finally found tracks that could’ve ben left by a fox or a rabbit. I wasn’t sure by Id take either. I formed two slipknots on either end of my ‘rope’ and set the aside. I then stretched a nearby sapling down to the ground and marked where it met the snow. I took my two J shaped sticks and shoved them into the ground with the extensions facing the same direction. I had to use a larger stick as a hammer, cause the dirt was frozen solid. I tied one end of the rope to the sapling with the slipknot and a small stick the the rope about one foot from that knot. I then took that and wedged it underneath a stick that was alined along the two J shaped ones. creating a counter weight on both ends using gravity. One the other end of the rope i formed a noose and set that on the ground in front of the counter balanced contraption. If an animal was to disturb the stick that lied across the noose that the counter balance would release, allowing the noose to tighten around the animal, while simultaneously allowing the sapling to spring back up quickly, trapping and possibly strangling the creature. I put some green leaves, that I had to climb a tree to retrieve, in the circle as something to lure bait over to the trap.
The shop was about 25 yards away from my trap and I picked up a large stick that could’ve been a fallen branch and a sharp looking rock to possible manufacture a weapon. When I got back to my safety I wanted to double check the small cabinets under and behind the counter to see if there was anything I missed.
You don’t find much else of use, a few small spools of threat and some small scraps of leather. The trap that you set outside isn’t doing much while you sit and watch from safety and cover and you can feel your eyes getting heavy as the shop grows a little colder.
Waking with a start about 20 minutes you can feel yourself being watched, that odd sensation that eyes are on you washes over you but you can’t see anyone or anything in the direct vicinity, either outside or in until you catch the flash of bright green run along one of the shelves.
You may investigate further or ignore the occurrence to continue watching your trap.

Suspicious || OS
Ryder entered the shop and looked around. The coldness left his face and fingertips. He removed his gloves and set them on a table. He was in a large room and there was a door behind the counter. He walked to each window and checked to see if anyone was around. He was alone. He went into the back room to find a few pairs of shoes. He decided to switch his for the warmer looking white pair. He went back into the front room and walked over to the huge chair by an unlit fireplace. He decided to stay here for the night because it felt like a safe place to sleep. But not here. He dragged the heavy chair into the back room with him. It had only one small window that faced a large tree and one door. He knew if he had to he'll be able to get out through either one. But to be safe he leaned the chair up against the closed door from the inside and say to gather his thoughts .
Into the woods || OS
Ryder let his feet stop stomping On the ground and he grassed the pole at one end of a bridge. He peered down at the other end and saw only darkness surrounded by stone. He figured it was a trick at the hands if the gamemakers. There would be some kind of mutt or trap. So he decided to continue slowly into the nearby trees.
He walked slowly allowing the snow to camoflaudgye his body.
Quick decision || OS
Ryder is sprinting as fast as possible, clenching the stick of dynamite in his right hand.
While running he catches up to the par from two. Xerxes was draped in black unlike the rest of us and he remember liucija’s arrow flying into the skull of Adrian. Believing it was too early to try and fight with the careers he sprints west immediately. It was a clear area from any tributes and away from the deadly pair. He continued to run until he was nowhere near the two anymore. He hadn’t even known if they were running at him or not, but he would rather have not found out.
