millyclarke·:
After finding a snake friend in our chicken coop and Alex getting rid of it. I decided to go out for the afternoon and try this paddleboarding thing.. well it is much harder than trying to ride a dragon. I swear everyone around was looking at me being an idiot. Needless to say I need more practice.
Finding a snake in a chicken coup can be pretty... frightening, I suppose. My question is, how did he get rid of it? Because when you put it in those words, it sounds a little harsh.

When the kids first met each other, I thought they wouldn’t get along at all but then it turned into the most pure and natural relationship, made me so happy. Wolf is so protective of my girls, especially Maya since she is the youngest one– he is such an amazing kid, I adore him so much and so do the girls. I have a wild side? When did you even see it? Not to sound like a dummy but what is the difference between a wild side and a feral side? I don’t think I’ve ever heard that expression before.
That was her name yes, such a beautiful and unique name for a great woman. I would be heartbroken if that mesmerising little island turned into a known tourist destination, it is too angelic for such a thing. I’ve never seen such a united, traditional, fun and warming community as Moloka’i, I fell in love with that place and its people. I can’t describe how happy I am just from hearing they loved me there, really means a lot to me. People can be so inconsiderate when it comes to other cultures and traditions, shockingly. Of course I remember Tutu, Pele is like my third grandmother– she thought me so many things about life, I love her. I need to be her honorary granddaughter, I don’t know if I can spend much more time without seeing her. All of you will fall in love with Israel, especially with the town that I grew up, Petah Tivka. It has some of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see in your life and the food there– just perfect. I promise to show you all the greatest spots and give you one of the best trips of your life.
I know you probably won't believe me, but I always knew that they would get along. I guess it's because we get along so well, too. He loves both of the girls, but it's true -- he absolutely adores Maya. He gets to be the older brother... and Maya is at that age when she's looking for someone to follow the lead of and Wolf is very glad to be that person for her. Oh... Oh, Gal, darling. Of course you have wild side. There is a big difference. Feral side is more about-- you know, taking nature by the balls, for the lack of a better impression. Enjoy the wilderness and everything it has to offer to the max. Wild side, however, is more about... taking chances, living life to the fullest, being unafraid of letting things happen and throwing caution to the wind. You've agreed to come with me to Moloka'i before I even told you anything about it. That, already, shows your wild side without you probably knowing.
The natives have been trying to prevent that from happening. I have been a part of multiple campaigns and protests to keep the island as pure, raw, and unaffected by tourism as possible. It breaks my heart to see what urbanisation did to the rest of the islands. Look at Honolulu alone, you know? A single city, turned into a jungle of hotels and resorts, without barely any of the actually beauty that it possessed back when I was born. You don't need to remind me, darling, I remember it clearly as if it was yesterday. I was there at the very same table, I've heard it all. I've seen the passion and excitement in your eyes -- it only made me want to continue introducing you to the culture more and more. I have no doubt that the trip is going to be amazing. Especially if it's a place that you grew up; I'm sure I'll get to hear many stories of you as a little girl running along the sandy beaches. I can already picture it, but I can only imagine that it's even more beautiful than I am expecting it to be.
the ways of aloha :: gal & jason
Jason needed to do something, and he needed to act quick. Ever since the divorce, he watched Gal spiral downwards into the continuous cycle of self-doubt, followed by perpetual sadness and thoughts that could only make her feel even worse than before. Along with the rest of her friends and companions, Jason tried his best to be there for her and support her as much as he possibly could, but he soon came to realise that it might not be enough. Something else was needed, something that would get her mind off things and open her eyes to only positive thinking, happiness and love -- the unconditional kind of love that knew no boundaries and needed no reason.
It wasn’t hard to find something that would spark that kind of feeling in her heart. After all, it was exactly what he needed every time he felt himself approaching the dead-end.
And so, a trip to Moloka’i, one of the islands of the Hawaiian archipelago, was in order. Jason, Lisa, Gal, and four happy children at their parents’ sides arrived in Honolulu together, but there were already thoughts a-brewing in his mind. There were two main ways of reaching the so-called hidden gem of Hawai'i -- you could travel by plane (mind you, a whole lot smaller than your typical travel airplanes) or by a boat. Jason, on the other hand, had other ideas. With a promise that they were in safe hands, the actor managed to talk Gal into letting the children get on the deck with Lisa and head for the other island, while he took Gal into the aerodrome where a slightly larger than Jason (if you could imagine that) Hawaiian native was already waiting for them.
Gal soon learned that the stranger’s name was Kai, a man who ended up being almost as close as a brother to Jason. After a few quick exchanged greetings, he waved towards a helicopter -- their way of getting to Moloka’i. The trip wasn’t long, but even then, only for even more breathtaking impressions, Kai made sure to circle around the small island first, allowing Gal to take in the sights from the bird’s-eye view, including the mountains and the waterfalls, the dense forests and tranquil beaches.
After the landing, Jason helped Gal to get off the vehicle and offered her a bright, wide smile as he helped to take her headset off and handed it over to Kai. Gently, with a knuckle under her chin, the actor lifted her face just enough for their eyes to meet. “Welcome to Heaven.” // @galgadxt
Your wife, I should mention, is Lisa Bonet.
awgcreature:
I guess I am, yeah. Figured instead of really getting into TikTok, which seems to be what all the cool kids are into these days, I’d rather get up in this live-streaming business and see where that takes me. Which is fun, really. Unless you let one of your bandmates take over the band account and live-stream their morning routine..including their daily morning shower. See, I wish it was that easy, but I built up this strong bond with my hair and I get.. It’s a constant mess that I’m trying to tame and just don’t like others trying to do it for me, y’know?
TikTok? Am I gonna show my age by telling you that I have no clue what the hell that is? Sounds familiar, though. Wasn’t it, like-- a song or something? Damn, that sounds rough. I have a feeling that the fans had enjoyed it quite a bit, though, for what it’s worth. Unless that routine consisted of -- I don’t know -- sacrificing a baby before breakfast or something.
No, I get that. I kinda feel the same way. I have a strong bond with my hair, too... but for that reason, Lisa’s the only one that’s allowed to try and take care of it when it gets too messy, because she’s the only one I can trust to not ruin anything, you know? She knows about this hair stuff more than I do, anyway.
galgadxt·:
They treat each other like siblings and it’s honestly so cute and beautiful, it makes me so happy. I think I don’t have a wild side… at least I’ve never seen it but I’m sure it will come out one day, you know exactly how to push my buttons and I know you are dying to see my wild side. Oh, we’ve definitely had this conversation before and not just once.
A lady there that made me this beautiful flower crown told me the people weren’t very fond of tourists but she said I was special and I didn’t dare to question her any further, didn’t want to stop being special. It’s hard for people to ignore me, I am not exactly a short woman. I need to go back there someday, it’s one of my biggest desires. So many things happened on that trip – the only thing I remember from our Hawaiian lessons were how you were trying so hard to teach me the basics and the only words I retained to this day were Mahalo, Tutu and Pua. You’ll love Israel, it’s really hot and sunny,it has the most amazing beaches, natural pools and waterfalls. We’ll go one day, I’ll be your tour guide.
They sure do. I know for certain that Wolf is very happy to finally be the big brother for once. He always asks me about your girls, which is incredibly sweet. Gal, darling, you have one wild side, and trust me when I say that. You may not have seen it yourself, but I can say with certainty that it’s true. I’ve spent enough time around you in the wilderness to see that side of you shine. I’m sure we’ve had it before... but this time we’re going to have to have another one, where I try and discover your feral side, too.
I think I know who you mean, yes. Akela was one of the people who didn’t shut up me about; she’s lovely, isn’t she? There’s the thing about Moloka’i, you see... it’s one of the very few islands that haven’t been touched by the tourism to the point of getting urbanized. No resorts, no hotels... none of that. It’s not like they mind tourists coming in, they just expect them to leave without messing up with the traditions and everything they hold sacred. They love you there, because you understand that; you respect that. You want to be a part of the traditions and the motion of the island without trying to disturb the general flow of the life there... which, unfortunately, is what a lot of people do when they come to Hawai’i, and it saddens me to no end. Ah! Look at that, you remembered Tutu. I know Pele will be very glad about that. I’m sure she’ll make you her honorary granddaughter... if she hadn’t already, that is. -- It sounds absolutely beautiful, Gal. I’m excited to see it now. I’m sure Lisa will love it there, too. I don’t think we could get a better tour guide than you. I know that with you on our side, we’ll get to see only the most beautiful of sights.
galgadxt:
As funny as it is watching my angels become totally insane, it’s hard to get them away from your kids and get them back to their normal selves. I am not quite sure what you’re talking about because their mother– me, does not have a wild side…right? Anyway, Zoë is one of the most strong, beautiful and grown women I’ve ever come across and I can see where she gets it from. Hey, I’m sure you won’t overstep any boundaries even though I’m not quite sure what you mean by that. I really miss that wonderful place, I was beginning to create some really nice friendship with a few ladies there, they were so wise and nice not to mention I learned a lot from them. In behalf of my girls, we are really proud and happy to be honorary Hawaiians. I can see why that place means a lot to you, I still remember a few stories you told me of your teen years. The fact that you took me there when it clearly meant so much to you just proves my point that I will be forever grateful for what you for me and for how deeply you care for me. How about after we go to Moloka’i, we visit Israel? I mean, nothing will ever top Moloka’i but Israel is a beautiful country. I could show you my hometown and my secret hideouts and we could also work on making you a honorary Israeli. Just like you, I too have my own little special hideout back in Israel. It’s on this little quiet beach and I loved to go there with my closest friends to watch how the moon reflected on the water.
I think it goes both ways, darling. My cubs start missing you little joys so quickly, people might actually mistake them for real siblings. Oh, is that what you think? You don’t think you have a wild side? Why do I have a feeling that we’ve already had this conversation before?.. You may not have a feral side, but there is a wild child in there somewhere, I assure you.
As I said, I’m sure they all miss you, too. Incredibly so. It’s rare that they get attached to tourists as much as they did with you... but then again, I can’t imagine anyone being able to ignore you, so I guess that had a lot to do with it. It would be nice to come back there, wouldn’t it? I miss the place, too... and it would be a nice kick in the butt for me to continue the Hawaiian lessons with you, yeah? You still remember anything I’ve taught you? -- I’ve actually never been there before. I’d love to visit Israel. I’ve heard a lot of things, and I am sure it’s absolutely beautiful. You know my weakness, Gal. You had me at beaches.
awgcreature:
Well, let’s just say the whole diving into live streaming all the time has kept me perfectly busy and distracted from the itching. Oh, no. I don’t think she wants to do that, but she suggested she could bleach my hair, or cut it for me. And don’t get me wrong, I love her dearly, but I am not letting her near my hair like that. She can touch it, but that’s about it.
Ah, yeah. Live streaming. You’re one of those people now, are you? It’s good. It makes the fans happy, so why not do it, right? I’m afraid I can’t help you with an advice there, brother. I let Lisa do my hair every time, so I can’t even imagine not letting her anywhere close-- it’s actually the other way around, sometimes I have to ask her to take a look at it and make sure that it’s still fine and doesn’t yet make me look like a homeless hermit from somewhere deep in the woods.
galgadxt:
Let’s admit that when they aren’t together, they are lovable angels but when they get together, they are feral cubs. Lisa sent me that video and I can say, I have never seen a young girl with such strong and tough personality, I’m so proud of her. I’m sure that, in just a few years, she will be a heartbreaker. Oh you flatter me too much when there is no need. I’ve known Zoë for years and I can’t remember one bad decision she made, she is so smart. Still, thank you so much for everything and more. I wouldn’t be here or would even be myself again if it wasn’t for you. Before Moloka’i, I couldn’t even talk without crying but you managed to fix that and I will always be grateful for what you did. We need to go there soon, I miss them so much! That place will always be my favourite in the whole world, it means so much to me. Can I just ask why you only took two women there? It’s so beautiful and magical, it will always hold a place in my heart.
I could get behind that, yes. I love watching your girls turn feral, though. I didn’t expect them to get like that when we first let our little ones hang out together, but I’m glad to see their wilder side come out. Almost as exciting as to see the wild-child side of their mother make an appearance, too. -- I’m so proud of Zozo Bear... damn, I remember when she was just a teenager; she was already so clever, so educated, so... full of this wonderful life experience, too. Her parents really made an incredible influence on her and I only wished I could find something to add to that without overstepping my boundaries... and now look where we all are. -- Moloka’i will always be there for you, Gal. I know that for certain. They loved you there, which doesn’t usually happen with tourists. I think, at this point, it’s safe to say that you and your girls are -- officially -- honorary Hawaiians. Well... it’s a secret hideout for a reason, you see? When Kai and I needed a place to just escape to and wind down, we’d go to the cliffs. The place was special for us, because it was a way for us to tell each other everything... or just sit down on our own and think about life... or escape it, just for a little while. We made a promise when we were just teens, barely even turned eighteen at that point. We promised each other that if we ever take any girls there, they have to be worth it. They have to be the kind of people that we’d be able to tell everything to; no secrets, no hiding. Just honesty and trust. It was just a silly promise we made to each other, but it stuck with us. I guess... that explains why I took you there, too.
soutterlytaron:
Yeah? That would be superb. Brilliant, even. But you can still pick and choose your drawings, so you can get them for your home. They are important, and giving, just caring about others is very important to me, too. For the soul, for karma, for others. For your own well-being. They’re turning two tomorrow, and they’re so excited? Last year they didn’t quite understand what that was all about, but this year, they can’t wait for cake and fun and having a good time.
I might have to, yes. I believe I already have gotten Lola excited about her new bedroom decoration. Giving is very important for the soul, that’s-- damn, you hit the nail right on the head with that one. Two? Damn, they’re tiny. I am trying to remember when Wolf or Lola Bear were that small, but I guess I’m just getting old. Or maybe it’s just because I still see them as my little cubs, even if they’re about to become teenagers in the next couple of years.
tonksinroyal:
They are 2, so still small but none the less, growing too quickly. I think we have the years of massive ice cream cakes ahead of us, for now, anything chocolate covered still wins.
A chocolate covered carrot cake? Now that’s something I haven’t tried before. I’m gonna have to talk Lisa into giving it a try at some point. I know she loves all kinds of cakes-- she made a beetroot cake just a few days ago. I thought it was just a regular ol’ red velvet, you know? Knowing Lisa, I should’ve seen it coming.
galgadxt:
No no no, your kids are little lovable angels compared to my girls and you cannot change my mind. Lisa sent me a picture of Lola the other day and my heart just melted– she looks so grown and beautiful! She definitely has her mother’s beauty and your fierce hair. I know, she texted me not long ago and told me how tired she felt from being at home all the time. What could you expect from Zoë? She always makes the best decisions. We need to take another trip to Hawai’i, just you, Lisa, the kids, Zoë and me and my girls. But I still feel like I owe you two one, you remember how I was back then, just a shadow of myself and you put me back together and I cannot thank you enough for that. What about, when this pandemic is over of course, we all go on another trip? That will be my way of paying you back for everything.
I suppose, the only option we have is to admit that both of our kids are feral cubs and lovable angels at the same time. I mean... they can be both, right? Lola Bear is growing so fast, I can hardly believe it. Have you seen the video of her throwing axes? She’s a daddy’s girl and I couldn’t be more proud. She’ll be even tougher than me when she grows up, and it’s all because she has such amazing influences to look up to. You, her mother, her sister... strong, bold, amazing women, really. You’re right, I shouldn’t be surprised. Zoë knows best. Gal, babe, listen to me... okay? You have nothing to owe, to neither of us... only to yourself, if anything. You deserve the happiness. It was the least I could do, really. You’re important to me, you’re important to Lisa. Aloha kakou. There’s only love to give, you know? I like that idea. Once this pandemic is over, we’re definitely heading back to Moloka’i again. I know for sure that tutu Pele will be excited to see you again. Kai, too. At first he couldn’t believe it when I told him that I took you to the place we turned into our hideaway all those years ago. I guess, I can see why he’d be so surprised. There was only one other woman that I ever took there.
tonksinroyal:
The twins birthday, I cannot avoid the fact that it is approaching really quickly, way too quickly and frankly, I don’t like my babies being older again. They need to stop growing - and having cake wishes, because believe it or not, carrot cake has been requested.
Is that so? How old are your twins, if you don’t mind me asking? Well, I can’t really blame them. A well prepared carrot cake can be quite a treat. I doubt as I child I wanted anything less than a giant ice-cream cake with so much chocolate that I wouldn’t want anything sweet for the rest of the year-- but I guess times are changing.
