She lives the poetry she cannot write.

I’ve really tried to understand the Israelis. I used to work on a farm in Israel. I speak Hebrew. I watch their news. All the time they talk about fear. How they have to run to their bunkers to hide from the rockets. How their children can’t sleep because of the sirens. This is not a good way for them to live. We Palestinians don’t talk about fear, we talk about death. Our rockets scare them; their rockets kill us. We have no bomb shelters, we have no sirens, we have nowhere we can take our children and keep them safe. They are scared. We are dying.

They say that if you like a flower, you pick it to bring home, but if you love a flower, you leave it to let it grow. I finally understand this. I would forever have you as a friend before losing you as more than that. A tragic kind of love, but a love nonetheless. I’ve never felt that way about anyone before. You must be a pretty special flower.

la douleur exquise
(idiom) A French, untranslatable phrase, describing the heart-wrenching pain of wanting someone you can’t have. To say this phrase is synonym to unrequited love, limits its beauty. Unrequited love describes a relationship state, but not a state of mind. Unrequited love encompasses the lover who isn’t corresponding, as well as the lover who desires. La douleur exquise evokes the emotional heartache, specifically, of being the one whose love is unreciprocated. (via wordsnquotes)
You must put these dreams aside, they will only break your heart.

You have to find the right distance between people. Too close, and they overwhelm you, too far and they abandon you.

Long ago this love was our happiness Now when we see each other we are miserable This love lived in our blood Now we can’t hold it in our hands… I have changed… Eveything changed in us..
Farooq Gweda (via iamfawad)
بهتر به نشستن خاموش در گوشه ای، مثل یک مرد ناشنوا که زبان قطع شده است، از به یکی از کسانی که بدون تفکر صحبت می کند. Better to sit silent in a corner, like a deaf man whose tongue has been cut, than to be one of those who speaks without thinking.
Saadi (via cloak-of-love)
