🥝 - I would say that his most unusual interest at first glance would be his love of Pocket Circuit Racing lol. Though I haven’t finished Kiwami or the other games, it’s a nice substory/minigame to pass the time with and the way he reacts to it is just adorable, honestly, this big guy with a resting ‘I'm a yakuza’ face going all out with these little racing hotwheels - going all out, making lots of friends with his little car - I mean just look at the way he reacts when he wins!!
🍋 - This one is interesting to think about, since you can eat whatever you want in the games ( for restoring health, you can pick a burger place or an expensive sushi place etc, etc, so you can actively choose what he eats ) but in cutscenes I’ve only ever seen big bowls of ramen and ramen cups with empty beer cans around his little apartment, so I’d say his diet is pretty bad despite the fact that he is ripped to shreds and incredibly fit and athletic.
He really should be eating a lot more and taking better care of himself. So, it’s my own personal headcanon ( as of what i’m playing in Kiwami ) that Kiryu will have a much better diet when he’s in a more stable environment. Maybe if someone else is in his life and is, in a way unspoken, encouraging him to do so he’ll probably start cooking, or learn how to cook for their sake. And then subsequently his own too. He’ll probably wish he had eaten so well since he was more on his own.
