"So, your the new head of the Jakob Corporation? Its a pleasure to meet you" Andrea spoke to the young man as she offered her left hand to the young president of the corporation "I'm Andrea, S-Class Maverick Huntress, although, with how much power and influence your company holds, I'm more than certain you already knew who I was, right?" Andrea spoke to the young man a small smile on her face.
"Andrea…." he mused…. placing his fist to his chin as he pondered for a quick moment. "I’m sure we’ve got some record on it, especially if you were involved when the Repliforce had their coup. But forgive me, off the top of my head, I do not know. I generally respect the Maverick Hunters and keep out of their business."
He smiled back to her, placing his hands in his pockets as he chuckled.
"Though after meeting you now, it’ll be pretty hard to forget you." He flirted, winking to her.
"An S-Class? Impressive. That’s on the level of X, Zero, and Axl."
Leo rested his fist gently under his chin as he listened, a gesture he commonly used whenever he was listening closely to someone, especially with news such as this. Not often was it that someone had brought news to you that one of your former associates was involved with creating a prototype Reploid, especially one that was created behind the company’s back. This was indeed a serious issue.
"Andrea, this is interesting news that you bring me." He said as he lowered his hand, his eyes studying hers closely as he began to speak. "Whomever was working on that prototype must have been studying X, as his core has a very similar function. From what I’ve seen, even he had difficulties controlling that much power. However, I can see why the government wouldn’t be sniffing around him because of his current status. It wouldn’t really be wise to question and possibly condemn someone who has been involved with saving the planet many times over, especially if they are now leader of Hunter HQ."
He tilted his head slightly, looking closer to her, studying her even more.
"I’ll admit I am very concerned with your story, but I have a few concerns with you as well. Have your informed your Commander on this? If anyone needs to know first, it would be him, especially if this person is a liability. Prototypes, especially from someone who has dropped off the radar are bad news. I understand that he is your comrade, but you still have a duty to follow, I believe."
He crossed his arms, his expression cool, but his tone had a sense of finality to it.
"I’d like to help you, but I will need confirmation from your Commander, and I will need information on this Reploid as well before I will allow you to look at our database. As much as this concerns me, I still have to follow rules, especially when it involves the Maverick Hunters."
"I wouldn't say that this person is a liability" Andrea responded as she sighed a bit with a smile on her face, knowing full well that she would hit this sort of dead end in trying to use the normal methods of trying to gather information by first placing out what she herself had learned of her comrade. Placing her hand on the side of her hear she carefully rubbed her temple a bit in annoyance and frustration at having come so far only to be denied.
"As far as the commander goes, he only knows that I took that position training the recruits as a cover, while I investigated this matter with them help of several members of my unit." Andrea spoke in response revealing the truth that she had not informed her superiors of her findings. "You see, despite being a person whom serves the government, so blindly, and with everything that has come about, I, do not trust those in power, I like to do things... Differently you see" Andrea spoke firmly her sharp eyes fixated on Leo as if to try and drive home the point that she preferred her own methods over regulation methods. "X may be the new leader of the Maverick Hunter's, but the true masters who guide our blades are the Federation Government"
"Even if X commands the Hunter's, who is to say that those above him aren't controlling him? Who is to say that informing him and archiving what I have found out won't put myself and him in danger?" She asked Leo firmly "I know, what I'm saying borderlines on treason against the government and their laws, but... I simply want to learn all I can, before I turn in all of the data that I have found, as well as find out why Doctor Volkov went missing after he created my comrade." She explained with a sigh.
Picking up her data pad and placing it back into the hardcase on her thigh she wasn't expecting any sort of response or reaction from Leo as she bowed to him. "Thank you for your time Mister Jakob, I'm sorry to of bothered you, I shall return at a later date possibly after I speak to X about this" She spoke as her usual calm smile returned to her face as if nothing between them had happened at all "Take care, until we meet again, mister Jakob" She spoke to him one last time as she began to leave the grounds.
