One thing about depression is the discomfort you feel all the time. Not sure if its physical, emotional or both. But you just feel like somethings wrong all the damn time and its scary how you end up getting used to it.

NEIN DIE LIEBE GEHT DU BLEIBST
i wake up thirsty and i think of palestine. i go to the doctor’s office and i think of palestine. a sign in the corner of the waiting room says ‘this is a place of healing, disruptive behavior will not be tolerated’ and i think of palestine. they probably weren’t thinking of bombs and snipers and mass graves in parking lots. i call my parents and i think of palestine. i drive to the grocery store and i think of palestine. i look at the clear blue sky and i think of palestine. i put the dishes away and i think of palestine. i feed my cat and i think of palestine. i listen to music and i think of palestine. i read poetry and i think of palestine. i text my friends and i think of palestine. i think of palestine and i think of palestine and i think of palestine
you think you’re a lesbian.
you think you’re a lesbian, but you can’t be, right? you had a crush on that one boy that one time. you really did like him, didn’t you? he was smart, and he was popular, and your parents would like him. so you liked him too, right?
you think you’re a lesbian, and it’s four am. you’re typing “hot boys” into google and hitting go. they’re cute, you guess, but when you look at them you don’t feel anything. you don’t want them. not like you want girls.
you think you’re a lesbian. and when you tell your family they look at you funny. “but what about that boy you liked?” your mother asked. “you can’t be a lesbian, you like boys. you just haven’t met the right one.”
you think you’re a lesbian. but what if you’re wrong? what if, one day, you meet a guy and you fall in love with him? what if you really just haven’t met the right one yet? what if you’re lying to yourself?
you think you’re a lesbian, but what if you’re doing it for attention? but who would want to be a lesbian? certainly not you.
you think you’re a lesbian. and when you tell your best friend she laughs and hugs you. “I’m proud of you.” she says. you cry with happiness. someone finally understands.
you’re a lesbian. and that’s okay. even if it’s terrifying, and even if it’s seen as a bad thing by some people, you will be okay. you are a lesbian. you are complete.

Do you ever get hit by the sudden feeling that... you were made for loneliness. Like, you have people around you but you’re still alone. Like maybe you’re not really made for people, like there’s this empty space inside you that you’re not really able to understand. Like something, someone, is supposed to be there, you imagine this solid thing fitting the space, but it keeps eluding you what you carved it for in the first place. And you feel like maybe the emptiness it’s what’s supposed to be there. Maybe loneliness was meant to be your companion all along. So you fill the space with smoke and miss the solid thing shaped like the space and call it good enough
Nocturnal Animals (2016) dir. Tom Ford
that daughterhood feeling of wanting to blame your mother for how you turned out, wanting to be angry at her for how you’ve inherited her pain and her insecurities, but at the same time wanting to keep coming home to her, out of everyone else in the universe, because you know that if there’s anyone who might be anything like you–if there’s anyone who might even have a clue of what it’s like to be you–it could only be her. and no matter how many times you’ve hurt each other, no matter how difficult it might be to get her to truly see you, you still just want her to love you as you are, to tell you that this isn’t your fault, and to show you that she would keep letting you come home to her.
