I know I’m late on this particular app (I kinda forget about this app + my account and have only focused on my personal accounts on twitter and Instagram) to spread awareness to the issues occurring in America right now.
BLACK LIVES MATTER
YOUR SILENCE SIDES WITH THE OPPRESSOR
Please, everyone, speak up and use your voice to combat the blatant racism and police brutality that is, and has been, occurring for YEARS. Continue spreading awareness, continue donating to the cause if you are financially able to, continue having the hard but necessary conversations with racist relatives and friends, continue your protests and your outrage.
We should not be silenced. It is time to change the way this country works. It’s time to change the unjust MURDERS of innocent black people nationwide.
Please, do what you know is right.
Literally no one thinks looting or burning things down will bring someone back from the dead. That’s not the fucking point and people only say this to change the narrative. And if you don’t see the point and continue to separate it from the REASON the protesting is happening in the first place then you are the problem, not them.
And to all the people saying that they can’t support a non-peaceful protest and they don’t understand the point of the riots, it’s because peaceful protests aren’t working. Not with the government currently in office. Not with this social climate. Not with a president that does nothing to combat white supremacy in the country he is supposed to be serving. People have been peacefully protesting for years… police brutality, white supremacy, gun violence… people don’t care until they are being directly affected. If it wasn’t for the attention the riots are getting, they would have dismissed this like they do all the other cases of police brutality, and the victim, George Floyd, would have gone without justice AGAIN.
It took three days of rioting for his murderer to be arrested. Only three days. You know what 100 days of peaceful protest would’ve accomplished? Absolutely nothing but sound bites.
If you’re saying you won’t riot when police are repeatedly murdering citizens with complete immunity then I’m calling you a fucking coward.
a woman was blocking the door of a burning building and stabbing every black person she saw while simultaneously letting every white person by
cops started the fires and initiated the violence, protesters became violent in response to being tear gassed and shot in the head/ face/ groin area with pellets
let me repeat again, unarmed innocent people where TEAR GASSED AND SHOT IN THE FACE for no other reason than the fact that were protesting
chain grocery stores (target, walmart) REFUSED to sell milk and water to protesters and EMTs and other medical workers weren't allowed to help them either
the people who started the destruction and looting of buildings was undercover cops and encouraged other people to do the same
cops met these people with GUNS, TEAR GAS, AND VIOLENCE for protesting peacefully but let ARMED white people storm into the state capital, scream in peoples faces, threaten to kill people, PUSH AND PUNCH officers and what happened to them? NOTHING. no guns. no tear gas. not even an argument. AND THE FUCKING PRESIDENT COMMENDED THEM FOR IT.
this is not about protecting people.
this is about racism. plain and simple.
if you can't see that or refuse to acknowledge it, you need to be put down.
DO NOT JUST LIKE THIS AND KEEP SCROLLING FUCKING REBLOG THIS
script from @bluecollarbabe1 on instagram. even if you can't protest, you can still be heard. use your voice. do something.
TEXT:
To whom it may concern:
I am writing you about the murder of George Floyd by MPD officers Derek Chauvin, Thomas Lane, J. Alexander Kueng, and Tou Thao. These men were not upholding the law, they were committing murder and terrorizing their community. Being fired is not an appropriate response to the crime. All officers must be charged with murder.
We cannot continue this way. This is not the way forward. Use your station and power for change; for good. Give a voice to the smothered. Prove that all lives matter. Do your job.
When the streets clear and the ashes fade, George Floyd will not be forgotten. The events transpiring may very well be plastered into history books. The world is watching. My generation will not fail to tell our children exactly what happened. Your actions now will cement how you are remembered. If you stand up and act, you will be remembered for your bravery, choosing to enact justice. If not, history will sneer at your cowardice. The choice is yours.
MPD EMAILS:
DO NOT JUST LIKE THIS AND KEEP SCROLLING FUCKING REBLOG THIS
You know what doesn’t sit right and will NEVER sit right...
How George Floyd, a good innocent black man went to the store to buy things who then was murdered by a police officer for suspected forgery.
Then the next day Peter Manfredonia, a white armed serial killer who was on the run across 4 states, was caught and arrested peacefully.
And how black and black ally protesters in Minneapolis protesting for the arrest of the officers who killed George Floyd, were attacked by the police. They were peaceful.
But a few weeks ago, white people stormed governments buildings in Michigan protesting the quarantine because they wanted a haircut and the police did nothing to them. They were armed.
The problem is clear as water. WHITE PRIVILEGE AND RACISM. It exists and is real. Deny it? You’re the problem. Don’t say or do anything about it? You’re the problem. Abuse your white privilege? You’re the problem. Don’t see a problem with all this? YOURE THE PROBLEM.
CRY WITH THE BLACK COMMUNITY. MOURN WITH THEM. STAND ALONG SIDE WITH THEM. FIGHT FOR THEM. BECAUSE BLACK LIVES ARE IMPORTANT AND THEY ABSOLUTELY FUCKING MATTER.
If I don’t see each and every single one of you reblogging this, I swear to god
This user is very fucking Jewish and hates all fucking Nazis and Anti-Semites! :D

And y’all better get off this user’s blog if you don’t hate all fucking Nazis and Anti-Semites! :DD
Remember when atla made a point to show that the average fire nation citizen Isn't Evil and the poor in particular were actually harmed by their government which they had no power over? I like that. More people should know that's how the real world works I think
Avatar had more nuanced takes on war and like, how countries work in general than most people who are allowed to vote
Remember when atla explicitly stated that fire nation citizens are fed propaganda from birth and that's not their fault AND SIMULTANEOUSLY It's Still Bad but it's possible to learn and grow and fight back against fascism. That was cool
rewatching death note and L’s voice is so oddly soothing, i could listen to it forever.
Watari: I have created The Best Detective
Roger: You fucked up a perfectly good frog is what you did. Look at it. It’s got anxiety
Reblogging this for the reblogs, for those people in the comments that didn’t bother to do their research and jumped to the conclusion that she’s begging her poor fans to donate their own money when she quite literally already pointed out that the show is just something for people to enjoy, not a telethon because the money has already been donated by wealthy companies. She FaceTimed the CEO of Apple in front of viewers on The Tonight Show just to confirm his ten million dollar donation 🤷🏾♂️
🌕🦇RIP Pelle Ohlin April 8th 1991 🌕🦇
I think all the hundreds of people who hated Near from Death Note failed to see just how emotional he actually was.
He wasn’t a complete ice queen. He had unique, fascinating ways of showing his emotions. The dice falling when his colleagues start dropping dead showed a break in his naturally steady hand. The Transformer’s head breaking in his hand shows just how angry he is at Light by showing him suddenly stop caring about a possession he loves.
Biggest of all, the anime dropped the scene in the manga when he seems to almost shed tears whilst talking about L, specifically how much he and Mello looked up to him. This is an extremely important scene, because it begs the theory that Near’s quote about L’s death (“If you can’t solve the puzzle, you’re nothing but a loser.) was an expression of how very pissed Near was about L getting killed. This means it very possibly was not meant to be an insult toward L himself.
That, AND the final scene in the manga had Near raising his voice at Light, clearly expressing anger when mentioning Mello’s death, and again his furious exasperation that Light killed L, his utmost idol and inspiration. Essentially, his reason for living, especially after whatever fucked up event landed him in an orphanage with nervous tics and all-encompassing coping mechanisms.
I’m extemely picky about the fictional characters I like, and Near is most certainly in my top three because of the immaculate way he expresses emotion. It’s a major insult to the writer’s talents to suggest he was an emotionless asshole.
