So cool, so cool, so cool- Curio what are you doing? So cool, so cool, s- Curiosity? So cool, so cool, so cool- CURIOSITY! So cool, so cool- SHUT THE FUCK UP CURIO!!
a manic and a megalomaniac fall into the underground..
Basics !
This blog is about an Undertale Universe with two humans, run by two mods. Mod Lumi does a good chunk of the writing, and Mod Cam does the art. We decided to make this blog as an easy way to compile all of our work together! Hurray!

About Me!
He/Them. Probably pan? Uhh.. I’m pretty sure I was an ENFP the last time I did that test. That was a year ago, because I’ve been in the underground for a year!!! I’m 19, though I’m not totally sure if thats accurate.
I’m not the biggest fan of dogs. Or the cold. Snowdin has sort of been my first time seeing snow.
My interests? I watched shounen anime before I fell. I did art. I get really curious about stuff, so I usually go for things that I can investigate, like mystery murder games! Maybe that’s why I’m so insane about the true lab.. well, I know someone more insane sooo…
the kid barely does more than a neutral run. his curiosity is satiated enough on that end because of the other human, but he spent a couple of months in the true lab investigating things he probably shouldn’t. it must be something if he somehow managed to even confuse his SOUL, because it’s more monster than human.
its funny how an attachment to snowdrake devolves to that.
other notes: 5’7. rarely stays around snowdin, especially after the incident with crafter. usually befriends everyone to get to w.d. gaster. multiple times killed papyrus, undyne and the old lady so that mettaton would be the leader of the underground.
About Me.
He/They, not like it matters. I'm more of an "it" at this point anyway. None of what "I" am really matters. I've been here for... just about nine years, I think. They start to blend after three. That'd make me... eighteen? Nineteen? Somewhere in that range chronologically.
Snowdin isn't quite home, but it's... better than other places. The cold is comforting. The dogs are nice too, I guess. I grew up seeing a lot of snow (I think), so it's the closest I have to that. I'm not going anywhere near that stupid bake sale, though. I'm not scared or anything, I just don't like spiders.
The "me" that existed when I first fell is long since dead. I'm simply an entity that exists to fulfill some stupid timeloop. Hobbies or interests, in that case, are pointless; anything I do won't last, and I can only talk about the fake stars in Waterfall for so long before running out of things to say.
...It was recommended to me after coming back from the forest, though, to try drawing as a form of expression. I think it's stupid personally, but he just won't stop bugging me about it.
watching someone grow up in such a controlled environment in such an observable state, in theory at least, is every researcher's dream. the data potential is endless. he's a perfect example of why it's heavily frowned upon. i wouldn't quite call him bloodthirsty, but he's obviously not a pacifist either. he's violent, but not depraved.
i have no clue how he still has a soul. that shouldn't be possible, and the little incident in snowdin made me think that maybe that was the case. now however? the dark blue soul is out 24/7, like he's surviving purely off adrenaline alone. maybe he is.
other notes: 5'0 even, something i can tell at least somewhat bothers them. papyrus seems more persistent than usual in trying to reach them, and i'm not gonna be the one to crush his hopes. back on crafter, though. he's weirdly calmer now, though i wonder if that's because he's inherently less of a threat with limited vision and mobility, or if he's just given up. maybe it'll last, and he can finally settle down. probably not.

Doing this on this torn notebook that Gerson sells for some reason. I don’t know if it will stay through a reset, but I need a reminder for things.
Not the biggest fan of writing, it starts cramping up my hand after a while. When Alphys upgraded that Nokia ass phone Toriel gave me, I typed notes in it but it all kind of vanished, which I’m not super happy about obv. I wish I had my phone, but it disappeared when I fell. I’m just hoping they find a way to get me out of the underground, or something. It’s been months.
Anyway, because I typed it out, I remember stuff a lot clearer than before now. The resets are all kinda getting blurry in my head, so I want to log what I did and how it ended.. the smallest thing has this crazy consequence at the end so I really want to remember what happens. I’m kinda gonna work backwards
Empress Undyne, Exiled Toriel
Toriel came from the ruins and tried to take over the Underground, but failed. People didn’t like that. I think it’s because I killed too many monsters in Hotland and the Core.. and Snowdrake. God that was miserable, having Undyne berate me for that one. I deserved that. I didn’t kill Toriel, Papyrus, Undyne or Mettaton. They have importance later.
Crafter killed everyone. Almost, anyway. I can’t remember the details, but I’m pretty sure he killed everyone he saw, and then Alphys scooped everyone away or something, and
I don’t remember. Sans killed him 18 times. I was just there. Do I have to fight him?
Mettaton takes over the Underground
Like that idea but he doesn’t like me. I killed Toriel and Undyne. Fanboy Papyrus was his manager or something, I think. Don’t remember that well. I couldn’t go into Sans’ room, and I wanted to know what’s going on but it’s locked.
Papyrus takes over the Underground
I killed Toriel, Undyne, and Mettaton. I think I’m seeing a pattern here. It’s like the Royal family, they have a line to the throne. I stayed in the Judgement Hall for a long time to see if Sans would let up, but he didn’t.
True Lab, stay with Toriel
Didn’t kill anyone. First time I met Snowdrake’s mom. There was a big amalgamated thing that looked like a giant dog, and it was barking weirdly at me. It was really scary. It didn’t even take the stick. I wish it did.
I think Alphys created Flowey somehow.
One of the entries was in this weird language, I’ve seen it before online, but I thought it was just some trolling bullshit so I never cared for it. But I blacked out after that. Not dead, blacked out.
Asriel kicked my ass. Flowey and Asriel are the same entity. I’m really sad, I wish I could have saved him. I think I’m gonna see Flowey differently now.
True Lab, go back home
Saw mum again. I tried again but I think it’s a hallucination, that’s not my real family. It’s like I’m in a different time and space. It doesn’t feel real.. because I just ended up back in the underground again.
No Sans for these two resets. Nothing to judge? I’m being a good boy.
Undyne becomes Empress
The only difference from the other one is that I killed Toriel, I think? Which.. hurt. Sans didn’t say anything when I entered the judgement hall twice. Just judged me twice.
True Lab again, stayed with Toriel
Mainly because I can’t stand going home and feeling like that again. This time, I walked around in the underground before going up though. I wanted to see the change.
There were these odd monsters talking about WD Gaster. They vanished after I talked to them. Freaky. Followers? Cultists? Fans? Ghosts? Amalgamates? He was scattered amongst time and space.
He was listening. He’s probably reading this too. Hi Gaster, are you the cryptic entry guy?
Brings us to now. It’s been a few months playing pretend with Toriel, but I realised that nothing was happening. Time wasn’t progressing no matter how long I was with her. She didn’t age, I did. My hair grew out, my nails grew, but she was the same. It’s not right, and I knew it was the same thing as when I went back home. So I reset.
The freakiest part is I remember looking for Gaster. I remember looking for Sans’ room. But I can barely remember any details of them. I DID go into his room. And he even had a shed. But what was in it? Something about Gaster. I think there was a picture. Why can’t I remember? It’s like my memory is being barred somehow. I have to try again and write it down this time. Anyway, the current reset. My hand hurts.
Exiled Toriel again
Knew it would happen, why did I try it again? Anyway, I’m thinking. If there’s a hierarchy, what happens if I kill off everyone in line to the throne? Do we go all American Revolution in the Underground or something? Let’s see if this paper holds through the reset.
HAHAH IT DID!!
No King
I think I’ve fucked up.
I killed some people other than those four. Sans could have been the ruler, but he didn’t. Why. Why didn’t he do it? Just because he’s too lazy? He could have been a little bit of hope.
It’s my fault, I can’t even blame him.
The grossest part is that I want to see what happens if I only kill those four. I’m awful.
The Papyrus Dog? King?
Really weird reset. Crafter was doing a genocide at the same time as I was doing this reset, and we were able to talk and watch each other somehow. He told me to look away when he killed Snowdrake, which was nice.. for him.
Sans didn’t tell me to go to hell this time. He claimed this was the best ending somehow? I dunno. He was pretty mad when I killed Papyrus in the hall, but in the phone call he was just.. ok? Maybe it’s because Crafter killed him before he called me. I’m not that bad. He also killed Flowey.
I saw a glimpse of another kid through Crafter. All I remember is them saying “greetings.” Flowey kind of popped up and distracted me. I don’t know who it is, or who it could be. Is it the human that fell before us? Freaky smile.
Another weird missing gap in my memory. I swear Flowey showed up more, like before Toriel picked me up. But the past few resets, he only shows up to kill his dad and talk some shit and vanish. Did I kill him? Is that why he refuses to talk to me?
I have to do everything again, because I can’t remember much and it’s scaring me.
No kills, Toriel becomes queen
I had to get some gold for the spider donut, so I had to return to go get it. I swear I’m either going crazy or I saw Flowey
I must be losing it a little bit, Toriel killed me. That has never happened before. Has it? I can’t remember. I remember Mettaton and Undyne killing me more often. I saw a look of horror on her face before dying
Undyne said she misses being friends with me? She’s not supposed to remember me
He just gave me the key without me having to do anything. Does he know? Did he read this? SANS ARE YOU READING MY PRIVATE STUFF?? NOT COOL
Asgore killed me 24 times. I have a massive headache, ugh. That’s gonna have to leave a scar
Flowey knows about Sans, he calls him a smiley trashbag.
Why did the both of them show up like that after I wrote about them? Are they working together? I still haven’t fought Sans, and haven’t fought Flowey in ages.. are they planning something?
SANS ROOM/SHED
Weird tornado in his room?
Pranking me across space and time? Does this apply to Papyrus too?
Please clean.
Broken machine in the shed, with blueprints. I think he made it. It’s in the same language as that entry.
There’s a photo of him with people I have never seen before. He looked happy.
Hello Tumblr dot com, my good friend @sunshinepyl0n and I were left in the kitchen for too long and now have UndertaleSonas and a whole AU with lore. (Note: the color changes are NOT Crafter and Curiosity writing different things.)
Some general warnings below the cut! While this is an Undertale AU, the following writing contains spoilers for both the True Pacifist Ending and the Genocide Ending. Also, the following Content Warnings:
Death
Time loops
Suicide (mentioned, not described)
General Violence
Weird existential dread(?) shit
Enjoy!
If you’re reading this, it’s likely because you just started another loop, Crafter. A version of you from a previous loop noticed that events were starting to blend together in his (my? our?) head, so he made this log out of some paper from the torn notebook. Thank god the ripped pages carry on with like the scars do. Refer to this guide for information as needed.

Name: Flowey (Dreemurr…?)
Species: look at his name dude.
Demeanor: Generally hostile. Can be neutralized fairly easily.
Notable Connections: Toriel Dreemurr (mother), Asgore Dreemurr (father), Alphys (creator?), Chara Dreemurr(?) (sibling)
Observations:
- Aware of the timeloop. For a while at least, he seemsed to be the most aware of them happening and is was the only one who clearly remembers everything I did.
- Attempts to ambush early despite knowing we both know it's pointless.
- Follower. Watch closely behind; if he gets bored on one of these loops, there's no telling what he'll do.
- Same entity as Asriel Dreemurr.
- Believed I was Chara reincarnated for a while.
- Already inconsistent. Still, avoid letting him read too much about the others in here. There are things even he doesn’t know. Use that as an advantage. Besides, they don’t need another entity messing with them.

Name: Toriel Dreemurr
Species: Goat
Demeanor: Friendly, will not kill regardless of my actions, except purely by accident.
Notable Connections: Asgore Dreemurr (ex-husband), Asriel Dreemurr/Flowey (son), Sans (…something. there's something there.), Chara Dreemurr(?) (child)
Observations:
- While unaware of the timeloop, does occasionally get deja vu between loops. I believe it's only when some of the monsters die instead of all/none of them.
- Displays concern for injuries, both from current loop and previous loops. Cover up and try not to get too banged up throughout The Ruins; it's like she can sense if I'm hurt. It's not worth stressing her.
- Pie. Do not leave until you get the pie. Invaluable in any loop but especially ones involving a fight with Asgore or Sans.
- Staying in The Ruins long-term is non-viable. It only hurts her more when the voices call deeper into the underground. Don't stay longer than necessary; it's in both her interest and mine.

-
Name: Sans.
Species: Skeleton
Demeanor: Friendly piece of shit that wants me dead Varies. Be wary.
Notable Connections: Papyrus (brother), Toriel Dreemurr (again, I have no clue what's going on with those two.), Alphys (co-workers? ex-coworkers? He won't say.)
Observations:
- Aware of the timeloop, but does not remember specifics beyond what my pokerface reveals remembering clearer and clearer between loops.
- Will not act unless pushed to the very end. Unless absolute destruction is strictly necessary, leave someone alive, ideally Papyrus if viable (it usually is.)
- Get the notebook if a fight is inevitable. He will do the same thing every time if my actions in combat don’t change.
- He will not spare. Don’t try it. Getting impaled while in a hug only makes it hurt worse.
- …He’s odd. I can’t tell if he hates resents me or understands me. Perhaps both.
- Talk to him. It makes things feel less lonely.
- Do not let him find this. That’ll compromise most information on him, and likely some information involving Flowey and Papyrus.
-
-
-
Name: Papyrus
Species: Skeleton
Demeanor: Loud and amusing, heart of gold. Too nice for his own good.
Notable Connections: Sans (brother), Undyne (best friend), Flowey (they have some weird one-sided friendship. I can’t get a read on how Flowey truly feels, hence Papyrus’s exclusion from Flowey’s file.) Things are interesting now that Papyrus seems to be more aware.)
Observations:
- While it isn’t exactly appetising, the spaghetti is generally safe. Sucking it up and eating a bite isn’t a bad idea, but he doesn’t seem all that upset if I decline.
- Egotistical but not in a demeaning way if that makes sense.
- Unaware of the time loop, but gets stronger deja vu than most He knows something. Increasingly aware of the loop. Stay vigilant; having both of them aware of the loop can cause problems with consistency.
- Will not kill me. Even if it’s deserved, he won’t do it. He seems less willing the more justified it’d be.
- Getting ratted out to Undyne is unavoidable, unfortunately.
- Only dies if my end goal calls for it. Impossible to accidentally kill. Try to leave him alive for the reason outlined below.
- The biggest threat Papyrus poses isn’t what he can do, it's who he knows. Papyrus alone isn’t a threat. Sans and Undyne are. While Sans won’t act most of the time, Undyne very quickly becomes much harder to deal with.
- Do not let him read this. He’s already quickly becoming harder and harder to get a read on, just like Sans. Compromising his file would be detrimental.
- …Offered a bone cane when he noticed I was walking slower and wasn’t as stable outside of combat. Makes a good weapon.
-
-
-
Name: Undyne
Species: Fish (piranha?)
Demeanor: VERY hostile and aggressive. Even during better loops.
Notable Connections: Asgore Dreemurr (employer technically, though they have this father-daughter relationship that’s more important to keep in mind for Undyne than it is for Asgore), Papyrus (best friend), Alphys (crushing, will end up together if both are alive at the end of the loop)
Observations:
- Out for my blood no matter what I do, but she’s easy enough to flee from until I’m ready to fight her properly.
- The loops where she’s on better terms with me, she’s still rather aggressive, but in a more aggressively affectionate way. Still a lot to deal with.
- Believes in anime. Can’t cook.
- The armor hurts. Avoid conflict if possible, if only to spare ankles. Easier to deal with now that the bone is an option.
- FUCKING CHEATER. WHY DON’T YOU STAY DEAD. Monsters aren’t supposed to be able to harness Determination. Why can she.
- Will break/discard the cane if not careful. Use the strap Curio made if not planning to fight, keep a firm grip if fighting.
- Keep an eye on her. If she’s able to harness Determination, there’s no telling what else is possible. Keep alert for signs that she knows what’s going on, as her being aware of the loop would throw a major wrench into any plans.
-
-
-
Name: Dr. Alphys
Species: I think she’s some sort of reptile? Lizard?
Demeanor: Overly anxious, generally non-threatening. Not above self-serving, though.
Notable Connections: Undyne (crushing, will end up together if both are alive at the end of the loop), Asgore (employer, I think Alphys has some odd puppy crush on him too?), Mettaton (creation), Flowey (creation?), Sans (also won’t tell me if they are/were co-workers. Not worth asking at this point.)
Observations:
- Watches me. She won’t act until Hotland, but she is aware of my presence the moment I step into Snowdin. Has hidden cameras around the entire Underground as far as I’m aware.
- Willing to make Hotland 10x harder to go through just so I need her. I can’t tell if that’s just how she is or if she knows something.
- The reason Mettaton is so hard to kill if he’s not acting solely on his own.
- Very prone to suicide.
- She’s an interesting case. She’s aware of Determination, but I can’t tell if she’s aware of the timeloop. As far as I can tell she isn’t, but that could be something to keep an eye on.
-
-
-
Name: Mettaton
Species: It’s hard to define him. Ghost fused with a robotic body, I guess?
Demeanor: Egomaniac, fairly violent, cares but doesn’t display it well.
Notable Connections: Napstablook (cousin), Mad Dummy Mad Mew Mew (cousin), Ruins Dummy (cousin), Alphys (creator)
Observations:
- Mostly just kinda does his own thing after the Hotland shenanigans. Briefly will show up if I choose to leave everyone alive, but beyond that, I’m not sure what he’s up to.
- Trans? Might have to ask him about that at some point.
- The EX form is VERY durable. Not as durable as the Box, but still durable. If planning to fight him, use the gun or the pan as a weapon if not already doing that. I thought Undyne’s armor hurt to kick, but that’s almost laughable compared to trying to kick a robot. The bone is also a viable option, but just be careful, as it might snap.
- NEO, comparatively, is VERY weak. He doesn’t shut up for like 5 minutes though before changing into it, meaning the fights honestly end up being just as long as each other regardless of what I do.
-
-
-
Name: Asgore Dreemurr
Species: Goat
Demeanor: He’s just doing his job. I don’t think he wants to.
Notable Connections: Toriel Dreemurr (ex-wife), Asriel Dreemurr/Flowey (son), Undyne (employee), Alphys (employee), Chara Dreemurr(?) (child)
Observations:
- Weak to the pie Toriel made. Becomes much easier to deal with if eaten.
- Honestly not an issue most loops, half the time I don’t have to even fight him. Only an issue that one time I decided not to heal the entire time I went through the underground.
- Clearly feels heavy guilt over the past. Tea might be nice one of these loops…
-
-
-
Name: Asriel Dreemurr
Species: Goat
Demeanor: He’s just a kid.
Notable Connections: Toriel Dreemurr (mother), Asgore Dreemurr (father), Chara Dreemurr(?) (sibling)
Observations:
- Same entity as Flowey.
- I wish I could save him.
-
-
-
Name: Chara Dreemurr(?)
Species: Presumably human
Demeanor: Fuck if I know how to define them.
Notable Connections: Toriel Dreemurr (mother), Asgore Dreemurr (father), Asriel Dreemurr/Flowey (sibling), Curio (I don’t know if Curio is aware of them, but they are aware of him.)
Observations:
- Only shows up in person (if you can even call it that) if the Underground is wiped
- Narrates otherwise.
- It feels like they’re speaking to some higher power sometimes and not me or Curio.
-
-
-
Name: Curiosity (Curio, Churro)
Species: Human
Demeanor: He’s his name incarnate.
Notable Connections: I’m not writing out everyone.
Observations:
- Started showing up in the loops about 8 months ago, when I got my first successful attempt at wiping the entire Underground out. What an introduction…
- Calls me Scary Man and Mr. Genocide because of it.
- It’s like he’s there even when I know he isn’t. Like I can converse with him across time loops.
- I think he’s stuck in this loop as well. Company is nice though. Hasn’t gone insane yet because of the loops.
- Deals with Muffet for me if he can, in exchange for me dealing with the dogs.
- I don’t know how he’d feel that he has an entry in this, though. Don’t let him see, just in case.
Undersonas! I made this artwork (on the right) of me and my gay best friend /silly back in March.. and I’ve been getting back into Undertale this week.
So with a a lot of determination, I bring SoulbroTale! I don’t know if I’ll be making a lot of art with these two, but I really like the AU and I wanted to share it.
@thecrazycrafter23 is “Crafter”, and I, obviously, am “Curiosity”.
Further Character notes:
the both of them are 18 years old, he/him.
crafter has been visiting the underground since he was 10 years old give or take? we have seen him progress over time, especially those who remember the resets.
him getting older, taller, getting bored of the pacifist route over and over again, going from too scared to commit a genocide, quitting out.. to committing them back to back.
curiosity is new. as said in his name, he is the curious one, so he is constantly resetting, because he just wants to see what would happen if he changes things even a little bit. he is a bit like crafter was when he first fell. i worry for when he gets over his own fear of a genocide.
but for now, i just count us lucky he’s really bad at dodging.
having two humans is really odd, sometimes it feels like they’re communicating outside of the underground somehow. the first time curiosity fell, he acted like he knew what was going to happen.. but was still shocked at the result.
they cause resets separately sometimes. when its crafter, recently he’s been committing genocide after genocide, flawed endings, more killing. curiosity is a lot tamer, but he always seems like he’s targeting certain people to kill..
other resets, they’re together. there’s no telling if they’re going to be merciful or evil when they are together. the only thing i can tell for certain is that they spend more time because they keep talking and getting distracted.
it makes judging them harder. is the other considered evil if he does not attempt to stop this massacre, and just sits there and watches it happen?
one or the other, they’re somehow together even when it’s just one of them. it’s almost like their SOULs are connected. maybe all these hundreds of resets are starting to get to me, but i heard crafter’s voice telling curiosity to let a kid fall, when it *seemed* that curiosity was alone.
eh, i’ll see them again soon enough. maybe i’ll ask one of the boys then.
