HONESTLY yall are correct and I could and should and probably will wear silly hats (the way that I covet a propellor cap knows no bounds…) and that will be fine and good for me, but you simply must admit that I, as an individual, will still be an oddity. I will get questions and stares. And even if the attention I’d get is in good-natured amusement, the biggest tragedy is that it isn’t normal to simply have a silly hat upon your head. And gosh darn it, it ought to be the norm. Frankly I think I deserve to be able wear a hat that looks like a lobster to a grocery store and have no one bat an eye.
