With the chemistry lab removed from the house, the parents are able to rest peacefully. After all, there’s no way the house could be set on fire, right? Wrong. After all, the oldest was about to age up and she’d been itching to get into cooking.
Anya and Paolo had been supporting each other through their careers and homebuilding. Anya was not always the best cook, so Paolo kept an eye on her. Their careers paths eventually diverged, as Paolo became a professional bodybuilder and Anya a professional minor leaguer. Together, they prepare to enter middle age and the turbulent teenage years as Beatriz’s birthday nears.
There’s nothing like getting out of the smallest house ever built and enjoying the outdoors. The adults pretend that their broken down hovel doesn’t exist while the children enjoy their time away from school and other obligations. Childhood is ending soon for Beatriz, an older girl on the verge of her teenage years.
The family’s home after a little renovation because eight people cannot share one 3x2 bathroom without someone pissing on the kitchen floor. A line up for the bathroom just doesn’t work when there’s two adults who need to shower before work and six children with thimble bladders.
Not about to be “out-done” in the good child department, Bryce and Brennan take turns helping with the twins, Brooks and Barry, giving Beatriz time to do her own homework as she prepares to take placement exams for secondary school.
It isn’t long before Brooks and Barry too outgrow their bassinets in the parents’ room and are ready to be moved into the boys’ room. Unlike the the triplets, the twins share their mother and Beatriz’s honey blond hair. Devilishly handsome
After a few successful promotions and increased income, Anya finds herself able to spend more time at home with her children. Using this valuable time, she tutors the boys with their homework and introduces the children to her favourite fantasy worlds.
While Bryce and Brennan formed a close bond as best friends, Beatriz formed a close bond with the last triplet, who had asked to be called “Bree”.
Beatriz had proven herself to be mentally gifted and excelled at her academic studies, leading Bree to emulate her studious behaviour and mannerisms.
It’s so much easier to have a moment of intimacy while standing in the dark driveway than in the tiny, cramped rooms of the small family home. Sure, there’s no skin to skin contact but there are no kids either, so it’s a win-win for a couple desperate for a few moments to enjoy each other’s company before something catches on fire, floods, or breaks.
With Anya and Paolo increasingly occupied with daily household repairs, overtime and caring for insatiably colicky twins, the triplets and the eldest have formed their own special bonds. Beatriz continues to act as a role model and mentor to her brothers.
The size of the dirty dish pile is always a good indicator of how long is been between the sink breaking and Anya - because none of the children bother and Paolo is busy changing his millionth diaper - cleaning the pile. And if the sink isn’t broken for the 10th time this week, it’s either the toilet, shower... or the fridge. While Anya picks up the trail of dirty dishes, Paolo repairs the fridge.
Six children later and she still has perky breasts and a perfect figure. Clearly someone approves. Especially now that they’ve engaged in more effective means of birth control. Hopefully future romps in the hay won’t be as fruitful as the past ones.
Anya never felt more relief to be in labour than the day she finally popped out a pair of beautiful twin boys she and Paolo named Barry and Brooks. They were running low on B names. But they have a theme to keep up. Why give their children unique names when they could give them pointlessly thematic names?
During her labour, she was unusually calm while Paolo continued to panic. After all, once she birthed these two, she’d be fertile again and ready for more children. He knew damn well that condoms always broke. Fortunately, the hospital was offering a 70%-off discount on vasectomies today. He took advantage of it. He wanted woohoos with no uh-ohs.
While the parents are busy, vainly trying to make ends meet and keep the house from imploding on itself either in flames or a torrent of water, they remained unaware of the development of their children, particularly Bruce. The young boy had taken a liking to Beatriz, seeing her a role model. He had begun to emulate her, wishing to be more like her. She passed no judgment. He was unaware of his deeper feelings on this and often spent time alone trying to understand those feelings. He even went as far as to borrow Beatriz’s unused clothes. He found himself feeling comfortable in this new skin.
A top-down view of the family’s legacy home with accommodations for all children. The triplets, Bryce, Bruce, and Brennan share a room. Beatriz has her own room, albeit rather tiny. The soon-to-arrive twins have their bassinets in the parent’s room to save on building costs. Because walls are just so expensive. Ain’t no one got that kinda cash.
As her third pregnancy reaches the end of its third trimester, Anya finds herself looking around at her small house and rapidly growing family. She laments that she cannot spend as much time with her children as she wishes. The need to keep the family’s finances afloat kept her at work for long hours, even as the twins she carried kicked and contorted her innards. However, because she and Paolo aren’t around a lot, the children are often left alone to find their way in the world, with Beatriz being the one the boys turn to for help.
The stress of being completely cashless began to take its toll on Anya and Paolo. Meals were stretched to last; fixtures continued to break. The couple worked themselves to the bone. Paolo reached his breaking point and began to exhibit signs of mental exhaustion. He found relief in running around the vast emptiness of the property’s rear naked as the day he spawned into the world. Anya was simply fatigued and often couldn’t make it to the couple’s bed without collapsing.
