will genuinely would adopt that puppy and leave its name as macklin celeweenie just so he can walk around saying good boy mackie ur so cute watching mack get all flushed at first and then all scowly and jealous cause he was talking to the dog
Like mack secretly figuring out how much he likes to be called baby girl and he’s so embarrassed by how turned on he get Will says ‘daddy’s girl’
and Will is lowkey noticing Mack being all weird and he’s upset because he thinks Mack hates his new dog cause he never comes over anymore but it’s really because he gets hard every time Will starts saying all those things to his puppy
and all the sharks are gushing over will’s new puppy that he spoils like a princess and all Mack can think about is being Will’s princess baby girl
obsessed with will's chain (& i think mack would be, too).
fidgeting with it while he rests his head on will's chest, the charms tinkling as his fingers toy with them, rubbing his thumb over engravings and raised edges.
metal, skin-warm, grazing mack's chest or back while will fucks him. the obscene sound of their skin meeting in sync with metallic jingles. mack, tugging on it, like a leash, when he wants a kiss. will following, easily, eager to please. (sometimes he refuses for a moment, just to see mack pout and whine, before inevitably giving in) once, in the heat of the moment, mack pulled too hard, and the little links snapped and the chain clattered to the floor. mack was distraught, and made will drive to the jewelry store first thing in the morning for a replacement. and an extra, just in case.
mack gifting will a new charm for his birthday or christmas. maybe a star, from his superstar. maybe something with alexandrite, an extremely rare, expensive gem, and one of june's birthstones. it coincidentally has a green shift; shining the color of mack's eyes in the right light. will starts kissing it before each game instead of the cross.
later down the line, a wedding ring. a circle of platinum tucked safely under will's jersey, flush to his heart. when mack sees the chain poking out at the nape of his neck, he thinks about the ring, and his heart swells. will rubs it between his thumb and forefinger for good luck. feels for the engraving, mack's messy scrawl, on the inside.
mack has his own now, a dainty gold strand with his wedding band the sole adornment. will pays him back, and tugs him around by it like a collar. loves the angry red indent it leaves on his skin.
I NEED someone to write a veteran/captain Alpha Will fic where he’s eating himself alive with guilt cause he finds his lil rookie omega billet Mack so gorgeous and sexy but he’s a whole ten years older than him so he can’t do anything abt it
can’t decide if I prefer shy omega mack who gets corrupted by older will or a teasing mack who temps will into finally taking him after a loooong time holding back
letting out that pent up frustration, Will finally claims Mack for his own one way or another
mack is devastated after the loss at world's. he gets off a plane in boston after some truly awful connecting flights. he had to fight back tears the whole way. worlds was so much fun until it wasn't, and then all he wanted was to be at home in his own nest with the smell of his alpha around him and not the stink of all the new alphas on his team.
he takes an uber to will's house, and while that's not technically his home it sure feels like it. as soon as will opens the door, bewildered that mack is in front of him, he rips off the patches covering mack's neck and buries his nose in him.
"I thought you were going back to vancouver. I was going to meet you there," will murmurs.
mack just pours all of his feelings into the way he grips onto will, the whole miserable competition and the desperation for his alpha, his parter, his mate, and the bone-deep weariness from not sleeping in a comfortable nest.
and will chirps at him, and picks him up (when did he get so strong? he feels so steady now) and carries him right into bed
hot-headed. omegas can be scrappy!! all of mack's emotions run on high. he feels things intensely, burning hot then quickly fizzling out. he's scrappy, and snippy, and a brat. omegas are fiercely protective of their pack, mate, and pups. and mack is no different. he tries to control his emotions more with strangers and his team. he’s kind and polite. but with will, he can really let go. will can take it, and he’ll like him anyway.
stuck in the puppy phase. he's still held on to some puppy traits, things he never grew out of. teething, for one. constantly chews on his mouthguard, his hoodie strings, his own fingers. just needs something to bite, to suck on. he's possessive, and defensive of what's his, in the same way a puppy lacks object permanence; he worries it'll be taken away and gone forever. people sometimes mistake him as an alpha for these things, but he's really just an overgrown pup.
doesn't know how to nest. between an adolescence toning down his instincts to seem tough in an alpha dominated sport and traveling constantly for hockey, he's never had a real nest. (maybe rick thought a nest wouldn't be sustainable with the traveling demands of professional hockey and taught mack not to be reliant on a nest). it's not until will that his instincts scream for him to surround himself in will's hoodies and shirts. he has this undercurrent of anxiety, and someone recommends nesting more often (oblivious to the fact he doesn't at all). but he doesn't know how. people online just say to do what feels good, but he can't figure it out. each time he tries ends in tears, and makes him feel like a broken omega. will notices mack's tired eyes. the way he curls in on himself. his uncharacteristic quietness. he asks what's wrong, and mack explains, reluctantly. will had noticed mack doesn't really nest, and was confused by it, but let him do his thing. now he understands why. so he calls his sister and his mom and at least three other omegas for advice and recommendations. books mack a private consultation appointment at a luxury nesting store. they build it together, and mack is glowing. he nests all the time now. he gets the best sleep of his life, cuddled up in his nest with his alpha.
his purr. similar to the nesting thing. he's never really stopped for an extended period of time. always go, go, go. inadvertently, and beyond his knowledge, his body has been in a perpetual state of stress since he was thirteen and first left home. omegs purr when they feel completely safe, entirely relaxed, and content. the first time he purrs, it's in his sleep, burrowed under blankets and propped up on will's chest. it's broken and weak, but the very first beginnings of it are there. as he settles into his new life, new relationship, he learns how to slow down. that there's more to life than hockey. learns how to nest, how to nurture his own instincts, and it grows, gets fuller and stronger every day. (the cartilage necessary to produce a purr will likely always be damaged, causing the vibrations to falter and crack occasionally, but it's unique and something distinctly mack)
his scent. his base scent is milk chocolate and freshly brewed coffee. extreme emotions build on top of his base scent: when he's really happy, it goes even sweeter, with whipped cream and marshmallow. goes bitter, when he's angry or upset, like burnt espresso. cinnamon and warmth, when he's in heat. mack never cared to learn how to control his scent. if he doesn't want people to smell him, he'll wear blockers, as simple as that. everyone knows he's an omega, it was a whole thing when he was drafted and continues to be a thing as he excels, so who cares who can smell him?
he's unregulated. this doesn't help his emotional control at all. his hormones are all out of whack thanks to years of suppressant use (so he doesn't have to go on heat leave and miss games). doesn't scent, doesn't nest. his body is in a constant state of red alert. he's on the verge of going feral. once he does start doing omega things, it's a world of a difference. he feels so much more calm. he's still himself, of course, still independent and headstrong and stubborn, but has ways to cope with his big emotions, his instincts have somewhere soft to land.
baby fever. mack would insist he's not particularly maternal (he's wrong). he loves kids. loves chasing patty's kids in the backyard, helping jumbo's kids with their math homework. his face lights up when he gets to hold woody's baby for the first time, and he coos at her with starry-eyed wonder. he adopts the rookies, checks in on all his teammates, no matter how much older they are than him. is constantly cheering everyone on with targeted, specific compliments. reassurance, when a puck bounces out. he's definitely planned out the next fifteen years. how to alternate cup runs and olympics teams with baby bottles and nurseries. when to get pregnant, so pregnancy and recovery are strategically in line with the hockey season. he's used to having his life planned out years in advance and it works. he's being sensible and mature. but when he sees will with a baby, it's over. watches him push a stroller for his agent and play barbies with ned's toddler and just thinks fuck the plan. he jumps him, when they get home. will has to be the sensible one, and it takes every ounce of his willpower (ha) to do so.
afraid of being weak. he doesn't hate being an omega per se. there's some things he views as negative, of course. painful heats, for one. he mostly hates the way other people view him. the way his dynamic is this big thing in the media, but status is never mentioned when it's an alpha or beta. doesn't like how people assume he's weak or delicate. that he can't take a hit. that he's slept his way to the top (like that's even possible, his stats speak for themselves). so he hides away his omega traits, sometimes without even meaning to. is private about heats and relationships. pushes himself harder and harder and harder so no one can question why he went first overall. first one on the ice, last one off, always. it takes him a while to learn that he's good, the way he is. that it's admirable to work hard, but he shouldn't destroy himself in the process. that everyone knows he's good. and if they have to resort to his dynamic to debate that, it just means they have no other argument to make.
Thinking the stripper loves you but its willmack and the stripper does love you regardless of what you're shitty fuckass friends and your pissed off parents say
macklin celebrini/will smith. fratprez!wsh and firstlady!mack. 3.5k of filth for what we all experienced together on this day
“You’re not helping?” Mack calls out when he gets close enough.
Will’s lazy smile sharpens into something cocky as he looks over his shoulder, already reaching out a grabby hand. “You’d like that, wouldn’t you?”

to me, will's most defining alpha-coded traits are his self-control, his confidence, and his desire to provide.
purebred. he has a strong pedigree, a solid lineage of alphas going back for centuries. he always knew he would be an alpha, so his education started early. he has traditionalist views about courting rituals. courtship has fallen back in modern times, and will is far from celibate, but when it comes time to date someone seriously, he will court them. despite this, i love him being raised in a matriarchal household. his omega mother calls the shots, and taught him the right way to treat an omega. he and his sister are close, so he's heard all about the asshole alphas she's dealt with and swears to never make an omega feel like that.
secure in his alpha-ness. he's perfectly comfortable doing stereotypical omega activities. baking, cooking, cleaning. he sees it as another way to provide for his omega, for his pack. he doesn't really care for traditional alpha posturing, either. he's very confident, self-assured. he doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. a dominance fight is a waste of time and is such an ick.
will wear a mating mark. most alphas, especially purebred or traditionalist ones, do not wear an omega's mark. firstly, they aren't really built for it, physiologically. omega's teeth are dull, lacking fangs sharp enough to pierce the skin. and once they do break skin, there's no chemical reaction tying the alpha to the omega. it's purely symbolic. most alphas don't want to be owned by an omega. but will knows when the time comes, he will do it. his mate is his one love, for life. why would he not? (and his possessive little omega will be very pleased about this)
level-headed. he's not one of those alphas who only thinks with their knot. who are blinded by hormones. he was taught how to take in his instincts, but not let them decide for him. he's in control, always. he's not dropping gloves, he's better than that. it does make it more interesting, in those rare times he does lose control.
his scent. will smells like the ocean breeze. like sea salt caramel, when he's happy, or aroused. mulled wine, spicy and warm, when he's in rut. like ice, when he's angry. he has expert control over his scent. knows when to push it out and when to hold it back. understands not only broad scent cues but subtle ones, too.
gentle. alpha's are genetically predisposed to higher levels of muscle mass, theoretically making them the "stronger" sex (according to conservative thinking, of course). most alphas are proud of their strength. they never learn how to control it, never want to. will is different. he has expert self control, always, in everything. never pushes harder than he means to. has a featherlight touch, soft hands, quiet footsteps.
his provider instinct. like many of will's traits, this is more abstract than the typical house-omega and breadwinner-alpha ideology. it's smaller things. acts of service. planning dates, driving, doing the wash, and finding the best restaurants. aftercare, ordering takeout, and researching nesting materials. hair washing, massages, and moving the overstock gatorade to the fridge before they run out.
