note: these are all set in the pre-relationship stage but some can be applied while they’re dating as well
they both tell ashlyn when they first realise their feelings for each other but are too scared to admit it to one another
and ashlyn’s just sat there wondering why two of the people she loves the most are the world’s most oblivious idiots
ej uses any opportunity to spend time with gina, including joining teams or clubs that he has no interest in, just so he can be around her
they’re each other’s dates to everything (prom, homecoming, thirdwheeling together, you name it)
gina going ‘gina 1.0′ on anyone that tries to judge or put down ej in any way, and him falling in love with her when she does
always being each other’s first choices (for exercises, etc)
they have a movie night every saturday
whenever ej’s spreading himself too thin, gina ropes ashlyn and big red into forcing him to take it slow
gina tries out all her new choreography on ej
she’s always the first to hear any song he writes (which is a lot more since he has the perfect muse)
they get matching ‘tattoos’ (which are really just the stick-on ones from the store)
all of ej’s teammates are beyond shocked to hear that they’re not a couple
especially when gina is always waiting for him at the end of practice (nine times out of ten, wrapped in his letterman jacket) - they tell themselves that it’s just because ej’s her ride home
gina gets a job at the local dance studio, teaching children’s dance classes, and ej picks her up so often the kids assume they’re dating too)
gina, slowly, knits ej an entire collection - she starts with a scarf when he tells her about duke, then a hat as a congratulations on opening night, etc
their fake dating becomes a regular thing when they need help dealing with people that can’t take a hint
everything gina knits him is related to a his favourite things - a stark industries scarf, a pair of star wars gloves, a high school musical tea cozy, etc
the entire drama club has a bet on when they’ll get together and who’ll make the first move - ashlyn wins
ej loves the marvel movies and is over the top offended when gina admits that she prefers dc
