[cis woman, she/her]Ā Welcome to Aurora Bay,Ā [ALEKSANDRA āSACHAā MOROZOVA]! I couldnāt help but notice you look an awful lot likeĀ [ERIN KELLYMAN]. You must be theĀ [TWENTY SEVEN]Ā year oldĀ [PIERCER AT CRESCENT MOON TATTOO]. Word is youāreĀ [OUTSPOKEN]Ā but can also be a bitĀ [IMPULSIVE]Ā and your favorite song isĀ [FEEL ANYTHING BY NXDIA]. I also heard youāll be staying inĀ [OCEAN CREST APARTMENTS]. Iām sure youāll love it!
one of sachaās earliest memories was of her mother telling her she was born with ballet shoes on, which she fully believed at the time. as far back as she can remember, the smell of the small studio in the large port city is embedded in almost every memory.Ā
with her father being a sailor, he often spent days to weeks away, leaving sacha alone as her mother worked long hours at the store a few blocks away. she often took this time to sneak out with her friends, walking around town after dark.Ā
as she grew older, she continued with ballet but she also started sneaking out more and for longer, often spending full nights away partying with friends.
it wasnāt entirely uncommon for sacha to get caught, by either her mom, a neighbour, or even the cops every once in a while but it never changed anything.Ā
at sixteen, her father ran into some financial problems and lost his job. instead of looking for a job or a way out of the hole he dug, he started drinking. by seventeen, sacha and her mother had moved across the country to moscow to be with her grandmother.Ā
on a now much lower income in a more expensive city, sacha had to stop ballet. without that outlet, sacha found herself away from her grandmotherās apartment more and more, discovering the world of body modifications for the first time. she became an apprentice at nineteen, and remained at the same shop until her mother revealed that they were moving to the united states.Ā
at first, sacha struggled to adapt from the cold winters to the frankly unbearable southern california summers, but itās grown on her. she was able to get a job at crescent moon tattoo thanks to her years of experience back home, and has stuck around the shop since. her english is still far from perfect, but that hasnāt seemed to have stopped her so far.Ā

"Now this is the way to welcome the year!" Dominic said, as he browse the rather fancy menu card that was on the table. "...the fuck are haricots verts though? Think they're any good?" he was already fishing the phone out of his pockets in case he had to look it up.
one thing that sacha had picked up from the many years of ballet was random french vocabulary, and it always seemed to come in handy at the most random times. āgreen beans.ā she said as she peaked over his shoulder to look at the menu. ābut fancy. and french.ā
āI kind of hate this time of year.ā Eden said as she stirred her coffee with her straw. āIāll be happy when itās over. What about you, are you actually excited?ā
sacha never judged anyone who wasnāt fond of the holidays. she herself had a thing with easter, which was stranger to explain. āexcited is a bit strong.ā she shrugged. ānot enough snow here, i never get used to it. āwhy donāt you like?ā
"My gingerbread house looks like it should be condemned," Tabitha says as she surveys her work with a scowl. "This thing definitely has black mould or asbestos or something." It looked barely edible when compared to the various houses on display.
āis okay.ā sacha shook her head as she looked over at tabithaās gingerbread house. her own wasnāt fairing much better. āput more frosting. look more pretty ā no one know.ā
